get well soon joe. you can tell he's not in the best of health by the fact that he has to cough at the end of every sentence he utters

ditto. i think i'm going to stay out of the house all afternoon. every time i watch soccer saturday i seem to jinx the result. plus i'm sick of listening to the likes of phil thompson bang on about how shite we are
-
every week seems like a must win game but with a horrible fun of fixtures looming this one is absolutely crucial. proverbial 6 pointer if ever you've seen one. can't remember the last time i had a good saturday afternoon. if we lose this one, we're gone.

he's certainly as fat as 3 players

supporting newcastle is basically like being addicted to crack - short highs followed by long periods of depression and self loathing; spending a small fortune for the privilege and knowing that despite the occasional moments of ecstacy, it's going to hurt more often than not in the long run.

he should be left back........in the changing rooms

too close to call. either relegation or survival......just. one thing is for sure: we had a month to make a statement of intent. a couple of quality signings could have galvanized the dressing room and helped lift the fans and build some momentum. as it stands we are woefully short in key areas and we have a horrible fixture list between now and the end of the season. another 5 months of miserable saturday afternoons loom
