  1. millwall is such a shithole, it's no wonder the fans are such animals. bermondsey is on my trainline to work and some of the "characters" that emerge from the station have to be seen to be believed.
  2. fuck off you fuck off are you excited at players like this being the major signings then ? If so, fuck off. Major signings? Are you high? We're in the championship, we've not money to invest and we've no manager... who the fuck were you expecting to join? And don't fucking talk about the good old days under Shepherd, because everybody, and I do mean every mother fucker in the world, is bored shitless of your broken ass record. Now, go bitch and moan about not getting a response from N-O or whatever else is tying your pants in a knot somewhere else, you tedious old fart. oh dear, look who's biting. We are in the championship because of the direction taken by the club advocated by lots of fucking idiots, like you. Go and bitch on about your sisters you big tart. jesus wept leazes, you're never going to change the record are you
  3. enrique, collocini and jonas are the three most likely to go. taylor going would be massive
  4. 60k a week though. we couldn't have paid him that, surely.
  5. he's got the one commodity we're woefully short of - pace. not the composed finisher but has proven he can do a job at this level, just not at the very top. i think he'd be a decent buy for a promotion push. you'd probably sell him if we went up. i can't see fat mike shelling out £3m though, or offering him much in the way of wages, which is the right policy in our current financial situation.
  6. smith and nolan bossed the centre of the park. if we can keep those two we'll do well - they're not much in the premiership but can more than handle their own at this level from what we've seen so far
  7. taylor going is even more symbolic of our demise than given leaving in january. he's the local lad and potential future captain. maybe not the best defender in the world but more than good enough for this division. it's on par with west ham going down and losing joe cole and leeds going down and losing alan smith
  8. your guess is as good as mine but surely, surely he can't be worse than ashley?
  9. ashley made fat fred look a good chairman - he's been that bad
  10. i was ecited when we signed duff. he looked quality alongside drogba and robben or cole in chelsea's 4-3-3 system. it was also a sign of our pulling power at the time (or our willingess to pay top wages, depending on how you look at it) as lots of other clubs were in for him. shame he looked poor for most of his time with us. i agree though that he would have been excellent in the championship, as would nzogbia for that matter. we will do well to attract a better winger than either of them for a while
  11. i don't have the patience to be put on hold for 10 minutes at a time while at work. online purchases are the way forward. just curious to know if i'm wasting my time or not...
  12. just tried going through the nufc.co.uk website. what's the craic? do i need to be a season ticket holder or a member to get tickets in the away end? my father in law has always sorted me away end ticketsin the past but i've left it too late this time - i figured they might be available to any old punter given we dropped a division. does anyone know if that's the case or will the allocation be sold out to season ticket/holders and members by now? looks like i could be in the home end with my palace-supporting mate
  13. via nufc.co.uk or palace's website? the palace website is pants
  14. i'd welcome dunne and hamman - the sort of expierienced old pros that will help a promotion push
  15. smith definitely looks better up front but it's nice to see he's found his level as a central midfielder. i don't mind him playing in that position as long as we're in the championship. he clearly can't mix it with the best in that role though, evidence is there for all to see from his no-shows for us while we were in the top flight
  16. grim. hope that accadacca wum is right after all. a few years stuck in this division could get pretty depressing
  17. you gotta be kidding - Wednesday are shite, yet another of the many piss weak, mediocre teams that make up this awful league that so many on here are in fear of ffs. I have put my money where my mouth is and put a few quid on 3-0 and a lot more on 4-0. If by some chance Wednesday get a point or more, no more postings will come from me on here. WBA and Reading so far - 2 joke teams that are supposed to be '' up there amongst it'' - what bollocks. Bring the whole CCC on - its shite and we'll piss it no danger whatsoever. joker
  18. on iplayer? is a highlights package show of all the championship fixtures?
  19. does anyone know if there are still tickets going for the away end at palace on saturday? i've tried getting them through the palace box office but was on hold for 15 minutes before giving up
  20. we've been spoilt with our tv coverage so far in the championship campaign but this midweekr against wednesday might be the first reality check about life in the new league. i'm guessing there is no coverage and certainly no football first coverage on sky. here's hoping i'm wrong. anyone know of any midweek highlights?
  21. i honestly couldn't care less if shola is given the number 9. it's not that sacred in my eyes. if martins can wear it, why not shola? he's a local lad, we're unlikely to sign another front line forward if the takeover doesn't go through and who knows, wearing the number 9 shirt might inspire him. knowing he is the main striker at the club might inspire more performances like saturday. christ. i just re-read that final sentence. clutching at straws? or.....
  22. i used to live in sheffield. it's a cool town, the people there are sound - and football mad - and i really feel for the wednesday fans. i'm sure our crowds would sink well below 30k too if we'd suffered the 10 years of crap they've had to put up with. they're a big club no doubt. i think it's a shame that the likes of wednesday, sheffield utd, leeds and nottingham forest all struggling in the lower leagues while stoke, hull and wigan are all in the premiership. i'd class the first bunch as sleeping giants for sure and would much rather visit any of those towns on a premiership away day than the second lot.
  23. loan players can also be called back to their clubs. i personally would like to see us sign a few players on permanent deals before the window suts.
