  1. you're probably right. but in all seriousness, don't expect anyone on this board to care about your club, or your opinions.
  2. I think you're talking shite, one of the best things about the left side is how composed he is under pressure rather than just hoofing it. It's not the English way but it's his way. Can you think of a goal what you're talking about has cost us? Nope neither can I. 6 lines and nothing to say as usual. off the top of my head no, i can't. i've seen him play us into trouble on more than a few occasions mind. i like the fact that he's a ball playing defender. he just needs to learn that sometimes the best option is to clear the ball. and when it comes to talking shite, do you not think he'd go to man u or chelsea if they came in for him? is that succinct enough for you?
  3. i don't blame given for leaving. he would still be the best keeper at the club if he were to return but can see why hughton doesn't want to go in for him. he obviously reckons krul has enough about him to see if he can make the step up to regular games in the premier league.
  4. the only thing enrique needs to do differently is to stop trying to pass the ball out every time he's under pressure. he's a top player sometimes he makes the wrong decision and will play ashort p[ass that isn't on or a hospital ball across our own box when a better option would be to put his laces though it. still, it's nice that we've got a couple of ball playing defenders these days so we can't complain too much. we're defending well as a unit too. our organisation at the back is as good as it's been for years, which must be largely down to hughton and calderwood - two former defenders - cocching the team.
  5. very encouraging performances from both new players. if they can keep it up, it looks like hughton has picked up a couple of gems. hopefully ashley make sure we secure ben arfa on a permanent contract after the loan expires.
  6. quite an introduction wasn't it? i can see this lad having a bigger impact on the side than anyone we've signed since bellamy
  7. i quite like goodison as a ground. obvioulsy has flaws with the restricted view but has a loty of character that new builds like the stadium of light, the brittania et al don't have. i quite like the way there's a church in one end of the ground
  8. thanks. what a belter from barfa who the fuck is that commentator though?
  9. anyone got a link to the video of the everton highlights? i was at a wedding all weekend and still haven't seen the goals
  10. doing much better than expected. in this form we should finish comfortably in mid-table. i still think it'll be a long hard season. tiote and ben arfa look like good buys but we're still light up front and at full back. a few bad injuries and we'll struggle. basically, hughton has done well to strengthen the squad well on a shoestring and foster a good team spirit. still a long way to go.

  12. i think that's the attitude most of us adopt. you have to, supporting this club.
  13. back on topic, i reckon everton are going to win. tough place to go and get a result. 3-1 to the toffees. a point would be a decent return.
  14. his international career stats aren't that impressive but he played a massive part in the english cricket revival in recent years. even though he could have taken more wickets, he had the knack of taking important wickets at the right time - when other bowlers were struggling, he'd come steaming in and get the break through. and even though his batting average isn't the best, he made several memorable and entertaining quick fire fifties and hundreds. plus he gave us a depth in batting that we don't get if we play 5 bowlers these days. for all broad's promise and swann's willingness to sling his willow, neither have stepped up to replacing flintoff. he was the first genuine top class english all rounder since botham. those sorts of players don't grow on trees. he always gave the crowd a lift when he'd come on for a spell too.
  15. really? you wouldn't play cahill and yakubu? i'm surprised at that
  16. i used this 'ice breaker' at mine. got a few laughs. 'being asked to be a best man is like being asked to make love to the queen. it's a great honour but no one wants to do it' otherwise, i'd recommend using snaps on a projector to take the piss out of their lack of style, dodgy haircuts over the years, that kind of thing - all in he nicest possible way of course. and don't forget to end it with some heart felt cheese - but only after after you've ribbed the groom as much as you can. top tip - avoid inappropriate gags or anecdotes. my mate was really nervous during his best man speech for his brother, got way too pissed and started telling stories about how the groom used to stick his star wars figures up his arse while they took baths together as kids. as you can imagine, it didn't go down as well as he hoped. he ended up rambling for about 10 minutes too long to the extent that people started talking/going to the bar during his speech.
  17. i reckon there's a few that would argue that point with you
  18. i don't know about the best, but donny rovers are a noisy, vicious bunch - or at least they were when they played at belle view
  19. seen them both. eraserhead while taking magic mushrooms at university. watched it a second time sobre, still didn't get it
  20. cameron was the only party leader with a mandate to govern, no matter how contrived. still an eton cunt
