I need some burning software cos I've got a new laptop.. I want to transfer a whole load of data over.. I've got 25 blank CD-Rs to use but for some reason my nero just stopped working on me.. Anyways can anybody suggest a decent burning software I can use (for free) so I can get this show on the road.

Just been to the cinema.. Saw "Red Eye". Really weird film that seemed to go on for ages.. Which can't be a good thing. Some bits were cool though. Gah the cinema is so expensive these days.

So generally, most modern laptops and especially ones I would buy off of dell.co.uk will be compatible with network/internet cables..

Well basically I want something I can take to and from home.. Not really bothered about the spec aslong as it's got network capabilitys for my Uni accomodation and a decent sized hard drive.. 40 gig probs.. Not too fussed about memory but 512k is pretty easy and cheap to get these days. Anyways I know a desktop is cheaper but I'd rather have as portability is paramount

Hello Hello been a while since I've come on here since I've been on holiday to Menorca and back and forth from University trying to sort out my accomodation.. Anyways as a reward for getting into Uni my dad said he'd buy me a laptop.. In the price range of anything up to bout £600... Does anybody have any ideas where I can get a decent one? I'd prefer to get one off dell but I'm not sure whether the laptops would have a slot for the broadband cable that I've got at my accomodation (I think it's a standard cable.. don't know the spec) Anyways how have you all been? Cheers for the help

Well I got 2 Cs and a D so am into Bristol Uni for sure.. As it was my second choice I've got to make some calls and organise accomodation etc.. My dad's well pleased but it hasn't sunk in with me yet! Anyways I'm happy I got a C in economics and a D in IT considering at AS level (doss year) I didn't put the effort in and came out with a D and an E

Portsmouth to do an accountancy course.. I've not really done too much research into it.. However I know if I do get in I'll be doing an accountancy course.. Says on the portsmouth site that confirmation opens at 8am on their website.. I know Uni would be the right thing to do (I can't see myself doing anything else) but the results day just seems to have appeared from nowhere!

Good question.. Apparantly you can only decline but cannot defer.. This while situation is poor.. I'm not nervous at all which is odd.. Maybe it's a sign I don't really wanna go to Uni

Looks like the Ucas site is suspended at the moment.. That's handy! I'm in two minds whether failing would be a bad thing.. I'm not 100% sure whether I want to go to Uni... Win Win Situation I spose

Midnight tonight apparantly you can go on the ucas site and check whether you got into the Uni you wanted to! Gah
