    I want to think Shelvey is good, but apart from that very first game, his long range passing has been worse than tiote's and his short range just as bad unless he's doing a Batty side pass.

    yeah, I hear you - but honestly I've not seen Dummett do much that worse than any other defender. But I've not been to the ground in 2 years so I don't get to see him. He's not that terrible on optastats etc. regarding Riviere he just looks so so weak in the times we've seen him and has contributed absolutely nothing, never seen him tackle, think I saw him shoot wide to the corner flag once and that's about it.

    I'm not a stats guy, but is Dummet statisically that bad? I tend to fall into the "he just looks awkward" park, but I've hardly seen anything of him, even in games I'm watching on TV. ​Talking about Riviere ? We must be getting desperate, he's really weak.

    I think 20 mil for 3 (British?) players is a bargain tbh. Its not 2010 prices anymore.

    I just don't think Sissoko thinks that way, I think he's totally deluded. If we play him, he thinks every performance is first rate and that the team lets him down. I honestly believe he thinks he played out of his skin last season and the team let him down. This whole, "waiting for Real" bollocks convinced me he's in cloud cuckoo land, its embarrassing for him and he doesn't even realise.

    Devils advocate - RE: Anita RM . Unless we're going to start playing 5 at the back we need Janmaat covered. Personally, I'd be playing Janmaat on RM - he clearly likes it there. Second guessing a champions league standard manager doesn't wash here. If he's playing 2 DM's it's because he feels he has to. We're already getting torn apart in defence and the attacking guys should be able to do enough themselves without having extra players bombing on with every forward move. That said, the players need to stop being scared of fuckin everything - this team (since Mclaren) reminds me of England in the last world cup - everyones scared to have possession and just look to pass it off, in any direction, just to not have the responsibility. ​A season or so ago, someone was complaining that we've a team of water carriers - it's looking like an astute observation now like.

    I think the idea though is that Anita is not on the wing, more on overlap to be the right back because Janmaat cannot be tethered, he's (Janmaat) also arguably our best right sided crosser.

    That's it mate, no ones really taking anyone on, other than janmaat and Ritchie, everyone else is just trying to get rid. I'm hoping its a confidence problem, they can disappear with 2 or 3 consecutive wins, which has to bē possible in this league.

    not sure, i've got the radio unrestricted with www.internetradiouk.com/bbc-newcastle. might be fake but also youtube has a hit but theres nothing streaming yet. no idea why nufc.co.uk isnt selling coverage using our own stadium cameras.

    I don't think we will be more likely to win with him in the team, psychologically it sends all the wrong messages to the rest of the squad. Teamplay > individual skill in my opinion.

    I don't even want to see Sissoko on the bench, Rafa should open the Ben Arfa / Pardew copy book - at least sissoko deserves it. Train on your own, sit on the fuckin bench for the reserves you fucking knacker.

    I really hope they discipline / fine him once the window has closed for his behaviour , its totally unacceptable and might even have a negative effect on some of our squad.. If we weren't desperate to sell him, I'd be fining him a weeks wages for every individual media contact.
