I’m an eternal pessimist and I’m bricking it now. The worst of all worlds

They were already relegated really but it was made mathematically certain yesterday. But just to be on the safe side it’s a good job Isegrim isn’t going to Wembley. If Heaton Stan stay up they’ll be in the same division as Spartans next season. Which is ridiculous given the relative status and history of the two clubs. In fact Blyth Town look certain to make the playoffs in the Northern League so they might be in the same league too next year. Really sad to see what’s happening with Blyth Spartans like.

Probably the same bloke that gave the statue of jimmy Hill a good piece of his mind and told it off in no uncertain terms

Made his mental age quite clear is what he meant

Just back from Kusadasi I bet -
It’s complete bollocks. It’s the literal forerunner of the UEFA Cup, which replaced it when UEFA took over the running of the competition just a few years after we won it. I don’t know of a single Newcastle fan that doesn’t consider it to be a major trophy

If that is not a sign then I don’t know what is

Sunderland lost, Heaton Stan won and I’m having a pint with Isegrim. The stars are aligning

Not to mention playing the victim about stuff that hasn’t even happened to him yet. They’ve sold him a right fucking dud as well. All the hassle for an outrageous fee -

There was something not quite right about his knowledge of events. Not that I can remember them in detail because I was half cut and just enjoying the 0 to 60 in half a second blob strop. I say that because I spent a few months in Oz in 2003 and the locals, at least the ones who were into (proper) football knew all about the Premier League -
Good family?

I dread to think what they’d have to charge to fill a 68k capacity stadium. They’d probably have to start paying people to go

He’s been shit on Twitter

Does he have a copy of the tennis player scratching her arse?

Former nust chairman Greg? Their patter on Bluesky fucking reeks either way

I don’t think he’s said they’re all losing their jobs. But the lack of detail in the announcement allows for media to fill in the gaps. And thousands of job cuts makes better headlines. It’s a cunt’s trick if it’s not immediately followed up by the employees being told what this means in reality for them. I bet that hasn’t even by worked out yet though because it is not a straightforward process. Which, if so, is even worse from a duty of care pov. Tbh all of their language around the public sector has been abysmal and no different to the previous lot. Like do they really think telling people they are inefficient is an effective way to improve productivity?
-
Btw, I’m not seeking to defend it. It smacks of another big announcement that’s very light on actual detail
-
I think it’s about Wes Streeting owning the responsibility. I don’t think there will be huge job cuts and most if not all redundancies will be voluntary. If you tell too many people in advance it just gets leaked though. I hope your mam is ok as I totally get it’s a fucking nasty shock hearing about it like that but they’ll still need most of the people to do the actual work. But it wouldn’t find defence spending in the short term to just get rid of all those people. You can only do that on the public sector by throwing loads of money at the problem. That’s one of the reasons public sector poor performance is managed so badly. It’s cheaper than getting rid of people

It’s bringing it under the direct control of the Secretary of State. I know he’s an MP but it’s worth pointing out the distinction. It’s not like MPs as a whole get more power over it.

The magpie used to be depicted in the chronicle or maybe the pink looking pissed off with his arms folded and the caption ‘why are we waiting?’ in the sack the board era. I also just laughed out loud at the idea of Monty the Magpie having a tab hanging out of his mouth because that would have been fucking brilliant

I don’t really see any of their games so don’t know to be honest. The had some big lads like but Heaton Stan bested them physically without needing to resort to dirty play. One of the U21s was deservedly sent off for two yellows. They also had a small lad upfront so it didn’t really say a lot for the quality of the two centre halves who kept playing long balls to him. Especially as it would’ve been his vinous after doing it a couple of times he wasn’t going to get any change out of Capewell who plays at the back for HS. Nobody in the middle of the park looked to be able to put their foot in the ball and control the game. A bit of pace on the wings and the keeper looked good and that’s about it. Alfie Harrison did nowt when he came on.

Da yoof wearing the Gregg’s clothing (was it in connection with Primark) was what they might call totes cringe. I do like a stottie though.
