  1. At least we’ve got the batsmen who are well equipped to dig in and bat for a draw 👍🏻
  2. Did you know that, in the eponymous nursery rhyme, nowhere does it mention that Humpty Dumpty is an egg?
  3. Emails in general for me.
  4. Got very little excuse for not knowing what time it is I suppose
  5. It’ll look better on sky when they only show the top 14.
  6. Aye. That hotel next to the Kaaba is fucking massive. Isn’t it the biggest in the world or something? It’s literally overlooking it too iirc
  7. Yeah, especially as teaching’s another thing he’s probably shit at
  8. Funny thing about Gullis is that he was clearly shite at the grift. So he basically sold his soul for nothing. Also, he’d be the first person criticising people for having kids they can’t afford
  9. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/jonathan-gullis-unemployed-job-interviews-tory-mp-b2621254.html
  10. They left early but not to get away early
  11. Ah yes, the sovereign state of Tyneside, with its own planning laws. Imagine posting that fucking twaddle and not being embarrassed
  12. That said, this very real possibility has me worried:
  13. I love how they just invent stuff that the owners have promised within (also invented) deadlines. All so they can kid themselves it points to the Saudis having lost interest.
  14. Haven’t completely checked out of football but gone back to grassroots stuff. Plus inevitably, misty-eyed nostalgia With popular culture I dig into loads of stuff from the past. Just not a lot that recent. With you on the hobbies. Fuck that shit. Except hiking. I pretty much always liked that though
  15. I must admit I’m the opposite. I rarely even watch us if we’re live on tv now. Just not interested really. Watch the highlights, although even then not always. Not sure what it is but just feel disconnected from it all. I still like to see us do well and follow the results but that’s about it. It’s more than just the Mike Ashley effect. I’ve got very little interest in popular culture of the last couple of decades or so too. Oddly it doesn’t even bother me much on the whole
  16. I actually caught this by chance at the time. It’s not available now but the track list is included in the link below. The genre is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. What was good, apart from the music, was it being obvious she had a real love for the music rather than it being some ironic kitsch piss take. https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03m6xnw Also, a few of the artists on the Brainfeeder record label do stuff that channels that yacht rock vibe, with a 70s psychedelic soul feel too. There’s one particular artist I got into during covid call Thundercat. Oddly enough, before that, he had quite a long spell as the bassist in Suicidal Tendencies
  17. Best of luck, HMHM. And sorry to hear about your wife’s fall. I really hope you can come to some arrangement that suits your situation
