I would say that, as a player, he’s about as good as Beckenbauer’s hair was at Italia 90.
-
I was pretty convinced he was the killer anyway but I think part 3 finally put any doubts to bed.

Still don’t see where he’d have fitted into the system Howe plays. And he doesn’t strike me as being good enough to make the manager change it

It’s become a bit like rugby union after they allowed multiple subs and certain players are specifically ’finishers’ ie purely in the squad to play the last 1/3 or 1/4 of the match. He seems to be in that category.

Two two-legged European ties in their entire history, man. But a cup final and Champions League qualification = achieving nowt

The Armies by Evelio Rosero is a good read if you like that Colombian magical realism style like the above

It was a reference to Mugrighter General btw. But

Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

Didn’t realise it until we had the benefit of hindsight. But for all its organisational shortcomings, the poor football in many matches and the problems with corruption, etc. Italia 90 was the last proper World Cup. -
Need Stevie back to fix those

Best Klopp moment was the interview where he said to a former professional footballer (Nedum Onuoha): I’m not sure if you’ve played football (or similar). Onuoha had asked a perfectly reasonable and inoffensive question and the response was Klopp being a cunt just because his team hadn’t won the match. Absolutely sums him up. -

Is he the one who was photographed shaking hands with the mackem who is a fellow member of the Tommy Robinson fan club?

That and he took SMB good and proper

Will have a proper listen later. Cheers. That ‘Long Dark Tunnel’ sample off the jungle track Valley of the Shadow by Origin Unknown pops up in a few places. It’s from an episode of QED in the 80s about out of body experiences. That particular one is a woman talking about hers and meeting her deceased grandfather. It’s years after the event but she’s adamant it actually happened. The history of how stuff came to be used is interesting too. The sample of the Loon (North American water bird) got used on loads of tunes. Probably most famously on Pacific State. As it was one of the pre-sets on a popular sampler/synthesiser

What about Stars on 45?

Was just about to come on here to post about that. The first series was actually based on the first two books about Cromwell, not just Wolf Hall. So this will be the final series. The first one was fucking superb like. Rylance in particular. Honourable mention to the late Bernard Hill who was brilliant, not to mention hilarious, as the Duke of Norfolk
-
Well, they did come to that conclusion by and large
-
They think they’re so fucking morally superior

Our match thread on RTG is predictably entertaining. Special mention to Roker Mackem who has gone back to constantly posting in our match threads whilst pretending he’s not watching the game

Aye, I remember the so-called pitches too

I mean, it’s not like they weren’t warned in advance. Somewhat ironic using Musk’s platform to complain about it as well.
