Yeah. Check the T&Cs but if you cancel stuff like that you usual still get it up until the end of the subscription period (because you’ve already paid for it)

Tbh I just posted the Clinton link for context as people didn’t seem to be aware of this kind of thing being the norm. It wasn’t meant to be tacit approval. I don’t really blame Biden, if I’m honest, but at the same time he would’ve known what ammunition it would supply. Just shows he’s not that arsed about the consequences I suppose.

Has he not seen the Pele advert?

Well it’s not going to be some young kid on the crew who’s worried about losing their job, is it?

He doesn’t need an excuse. It’s common practice anyway for outgoing presidents to pardon dodgy fuckers. Agree it’s bad crack though

The bit in the 11 o’clock Show when he was in Norn Iron btw including when he asked if Terry Wogan used to be in the IRA.

Fairly amazed at their going out for bait in the evening after a curry at lunchtime tbh

Been to Mull a couple of times. I saw an eagle near Calgary beach. Absolutely gorgeous spot. Bar the practicalities I would move there myself.

How can you be this weird and this boring at the same time?

Aye, you have to wonder how many careers were ruined by that odious cunt just because they said no

I think the original cinema release is the one with the voice over? Which I don’t think Ridley Scott liked. The studio iirc wanted it included because of the ‘neo noir’ style of the film. By having the voice over by Deckard it was even more of a nod to those early Raymond Chandler adaptations like The Big Sleep. It’s definitely an inferior version and has a different ending. I think that’s the one available for free on Freely or one of those apps. I tried watching it not too long ago and the voiceovers give it a bit if a corny feel imo. It’s completely unnecessary too and removed sone of the essential ‘coldness’ to the character imo. There’s a 1992 Director’s Cut, which is the first version I saw, I am fairly certain. Then there was a final directors version for the 25th anniversary or something. Scott reckoned that 92 version wasn’t actually his version and only the later one is a true director’s cut. Although you’d probably have to watch them back to back to notice much difference. TL:DR, watch one of the newer versions (I think they’re only c. 2 hours long so not too indulgent by Scott).

Watched the first two seasons now. I think 2 was a slight improvement. Really enjoying it so far. Glad to hear it’s been renewed for another couple of seasons as I don’t think it’ll take me long to get through 3 & 4.

I thought it was really good. Although I’m not sure agree re: it being much better. I still prefer the original but admittedly haven’t seen it in ages. Although I have seen it lots of times. I was expecting 2049 to be a bit shot and a let down but it managed to live up to the original. The book is really good too. Not too complex by PKD standards either. That is not me suggesting you require a novel to be simple btw but some of his stuff is a proper head fuck

The only real form of protest you have available to you is to get off Twitter, stay off it and ignoring it completely imo.
