Generic small time football blather thread FOREVER

It’s like something Alan Patridge might’ve eventually came up with if you extended the Monkey Tennis / Youth Hostelling with Chris Eubank scene by an hour or 3 -
I don’t know how you would go about fertilising one of those. But I suppose mouse-proportioned genitalia can have its advantages

It’s worth noting the panel of experts work for her defence team

Big fan of white chocolate Cadbury’s crème eggs too

Gemmill does subscribe to the Ha’way version of the spelling iirc

Modelled his onscreen look on CT on his wedding day iirc RIP and all that but I seem to remember the show being absolutely shite

Labour leave it wide open for him to fill the vacuum of their non movement on closer EU ties as well. They can’t leave that until the end of the parliament or there will be no tangible benefits. They need to be bolder but they take fucking forever to act on their words. I’ve literally seen this at work. I think they thought the election would give them a minimum two terms but I also think the time out of government has created a very steep learning curve due to the lack of experience

I wonder if the impartial Times brings that up

Aye, he should be sold on the basis of that outfit alone

Also on mixcloud (and soundcloud) Greg Wilson is worth a follow. Been DJ-ing for about 50 years and also is a master of the re-edit. But for the pop crazed youngsters of a certain age, if you go on his mixcloud profile, go to ’Shows’ and scroll down, there’s some ‘time capsule’ shows which are all funk and soul type stuff from a certain month in the mid/late 70s like the one below:
-
Vegan pastie eating beardy sleeve-tattooed hipster cunts

In my mind I can hear John Peel saying it

@Dr Gloom you heard this btw?

Quite an unedifying end to Henderson’s career. I had a lot of time for him as a player but he’s pissed on his chips in terms of the moral role model image he tried to project before going to Saudi Arabia. And the mackems have disowned him. So it’s not all bad news for him -
I don’t recall having heard LT speak but it sounds she talks like she writes

At least that much I reckon

They aren’t bothered about paying it off though. It’s about increasing income, which does count for PSR against redevelopment costs (which don’t count). I do agree a brand new stadium right next to the current SJP makes more sense if it’s viable though

I think, with the PSR predicament/still trying to slowly build a top class squad, the longer term risk of not being able to sell them down the line far outweighs the shorter term risk of them not being available for the rest of the season. I agree with argument for keeping Longstaff as he allows midfield rotation and a decent option off the bench. But with Targett, he can only really play in one position and there’s probably 4 players - Hall, Burn, Livramento and possibly Kelly who Howe would prefer there. Similar with Almiron and Murphy, Barnes, Joelinton and Gordon. I get what you’re saying though, selling 3 players who’ve featured this season might be pushing our luck.

As well being run of the mill lazy journalism, the Thierry Henry comparisons are a reminder that Isak is the sort of player that should be playing for Arsenal / Arsenal are the sort of club Isak should be playing for.

I’m guessing that’s an arrangement which also suits his colleagues. I bet it’s a nightmare being his line manager.

I think he recently retired. I occasionally look at his blog. It veers from the sublime to the uncomfortably ridiculous but he mentioned it on there a while back I think. I did used to sometimes see him there though.
