  1. Class. I remember there being a bit of a 'story' about Geoffrey off Rainbow working in his local Sainsbury's or something.
  2. Looks like he wrong. Will he admit though?
  3. I quite like that, although it's a bit strange at first. Also, sticking "so it/he/she/you is/are" on the end of sentences takes a bit of getting used to. There was a lad from Fermanagh I knew who used to say "Good luck" the way you'd say "Good night" or "See you later". Not sure if that's common over your way.
  4. The reason I use phrases like that in regard to you is because you either change the subject or just completely avoid the question when I or someone else points out an obvious fallacy in what you've just said. Again, just read the previous page. Or the day before when I made a point about the role of the press in stuff like this and you responded by making out I was defending Terry. I don't know who you think you're fooling like.
  5. All that just illustrates what everyone is trying to tell you, i.e. about the subjective nature of this case and cases like it tbh. You're tying yourself up in knots as usually just by being contrary. A quick look at your last half a dozen posts would tell anyone reading them that you don't even agree with yourself.
  6. I did wonder about the netty / gabinetti thing when I found out that was the Italian word for it, but I couldn't see how it would end up being NE slang.
  7. There's a bloke on here, used to a bigwig in marketing or some such. I think he's a taxi driver now.
  8. I'd suggest that's relevant. Unlike most of the answers you've given to the points I've raised.
  9. Nicely avoided the question I see. Classic ©
  10. What's the purpose of character witnesses then?
  11. It's not really. That's far more straightforward whereas racism has almost infinite levels, from an old person who might still say 'darkie' to someone who kills someone because of the colour of their skin and everything in between. If the law can't be subjective, then how come each case that gets to trial is tried on its merits, argued by professionals on both sides, then judged by judge and/or a jury or a set of magistrates. A criminal case like this is subjective by definition. Are you really this fucking thick?
  12. He was an arrogant arsehole when he was West Brom manager the same year we were in the Championship. They were dirty as fuck as well.
  13. I don't believe in persecution per se but Chez outting Fop Moat was the best thing that ever happened to this place.
  14. James M Cain is great. I like noir fiction anyway but it's normally from the pov of the hardboiled detective whereas Cain does it (usually) from the criminal's side.
  15. There's nowt wrong with a bit of Donna Summer. Or (good) Disco in general for that matter.

  17. Might give that Thai/Malaysian place a shout, Andy. Cheers.
  18. Yeah, same with me. I wasn't insinuating you (or anyone else on here) wouldn't support their kids if they were gay btw. At the end of the day though you just want them to be happy.
  19. You can have a rusty Sheriff's badge. In fact, you can kiss mine.
  20. The programme's shit anyway.
  21. Thing is, if you 'choose' to be gay, it's because you fancy people of the same sex, so it doesn't work, does it? I remember reading something that said it was like being left or right-handed in the sense that you aren't born that way but you already have had your path chosen (for want of a better phrase) very early in your development. I assume that's just another theory.
  22. CT, did you get my reply to your pm in which I told you about 10 other people were onto me first?
  23. Forget about the Simon Hughes thing until NJS raised it actually. Your average politician summed up right there.
  24. I'm not sure how Tatchell would know. I don't think your being gay makes you an expert on being gay, any more than being straight makes you an expert on being straight. Either way, being gay doesn't make you an expert on genetics. I agree with JawD though, in an ideal world most people want their kids to be straight. The main reasons for that would be because you wouldn't want them to go through all the inevitable hassle and confusion etc., etc. Life's hard enough anyway, especially when you're going through puberty. That doesn't mean you wouldn't love a bairn of yours if they turned out gay of course. If you don't support them through that you're not a very good parent imo. There seems some resistence in the gay community to the genetic theory. Not really sure why. Sand in the vaseline?
  25. Says Paul Daniels' funnier looking brother.
