Not the point he was making like. Also, I don't see your point anyway. Are you insinuating that anyone picking up a bargain is actually creating these job losses? How does that work exactly?

And here 'she' is. Funny that.

My thoughts exactly. Obama is like JFK but not in the way a lot of people think, i.e. he's a conservative who's managed to convince his followers that he's a liberal.

Peter Suttcliffe as well.

Mags was an absolute fucking bint and I told her that at the time.

Like the originals but I've only seen The Phantom Menace of the new ones. I didn't hate it, I just thought it was a bit 'meh' really and it felt like a kid's film, as opposed to the other ones which are the sort of thing I could enjoy as a bairn but also my Dad liked at the time (and I still like as I've grown up). The whole Star Wars nerdy subculture isn't really my bag like.

Bargain! And wait 'til Parky sees the username.

Sammy should just be an impact sub at the minute. He's got some potential without a doubt but he's nowhere near ready to be starting PL games. I'd put Ferguson in the same bracket. I think he might end up as a good full-back but he shouldn't be starting week-in, week-out at present (ideally that is, I don't mind him starting if it means Santon on the right and Simpson nowhere near the pitch given the current squad).

I did three years of chemistry at university

I'd give the 5 year extended warranty a miss.

I was adding chocolate to mine but I now find adding a little bit of sugar (just to offset the bitterness of the tomotoes) and cocoa powder gives a better taste. The difference is marginal like.

I used to be completely against it but not I'm for it, in certain cases, in principle, but I don't think it would work in practice. Even in the United States where it's been around for years you have too many legal appeals etc. which stops it from being enforced. Take the case of Richard Ramires who's been on death row in California since the mid-80s. He's a sick fucker who deserves to die but that's by the by. You only need to look at a case like Abu Hamza recently to see how the only people likely to benefit from a re-introduction of the death penalty are highly paid lawyers. I think sentences for a number of crimes should be a lot more severe in this country though. That would be a start.

In the last few weeks I've heard from two different school friends who've both lost their wives to cancer recently. Another mate from university was just telling me about how his Dad (only in his early 60s) went into hospital with a broken hip and was dead from pnuemonia a couple of weeks later. Puts all that material bollocks into perspective.

Haven't heard that in a while

See, bunch of fascists.

I found it a lot easier carving a pumpkin for the bairn than the clart on I used to have when I was little with a snazzy nicked out the farmer's field. Without wishing to go all RobW (PBUH) I don't think I saw a pumpkin in real life until I was about 13.

How about: "After decades of success and being considered one of the top sides in Europe, how does it feel to be mid-table also-rans playing second fiddle to your local rivals?"

Aye, true enough. It was more that they both get in each others way at times the way Shearer and Ferdinand did. We were still (very) effective with Shearer and Ferdinand playing though. The football wasn't quite as good though. I suppose that's being picky but at the time we thought we could afford to be. Anyway, Mick Quinn reckons Cisse and Ba can play together so it must be true.
-
Aye, they both make very similar runs etc. Not that they're the same types of no. 9 as them but it's similar to the situation when Shearer and Ferdinand played together.
