And I don't see Ashley changing tack and appointing a big name on a big wage, do you? I think Ashley's logic (whilst not agreeing with it) is thus: Simpson can do a job and he's leaving in the summer so we'll sign his replacement then. I would be more inclined to let him move on a free in January if we could get a replacement in though.

No one is denying climate changes all the time. The debate is how much people are contributing to it. He's not proven in anyway shape or form tbh. Unless being a promising youngster whose career has been basically littered with injuries for about 5 years makes you a proven player. Would possibly be up for writing them but would also be prepared to act as editor / proofreader, i.e. not to censor anyone's views but I think it definitely helps sometimes to bounce your ideas off someone / get someone else to have a look at your stuff. Even if it's just spotting obvious typos etc. I always think it looks crap and detracts from any good points raised when articles look like they haven't even been proofread first.

As HF points out, I was asking you that, more or less, so I'll ask again as the answer which you said was forthcoming seems not to have appeared: are you suggesting the salary on offer and the working transfer budget constraints wouldn't have an effect on the type of candidate we could attract to take over as manager?
