  1. Presumably there's no financial benefit in it for him. Not saying that makes it ok but that's all he's arsed about.
  2. As I was busy I half watched the match / half listened to it on 5Live (should've stuck Radio Newcastle on I suppose) but Alan Green is an absolute disgrace. I know it's no secret he's a Liverpool fan but he nearly wet his pants any time they got near our box and could barely contain his disappointment when Cabaye put us in front.
  3. Aye. Suarez had Colo on toast all the game although Colo seemed to want to snap him in half from the off. If he'd just concentrated on playing his normal game I think we'd have won. I absolutely love Colo but although Suarez is a complete cunt I'd be foaming if I was Pardew. It was a definite red for the intent and he could have had one earlier for a similar challenge. It was a sublime piece of control but I agree with Stevie about it not being that good because basically when he brought it down he just had to go round the keeper. Not saying it wasn't a very good goal but it wasn't that good. Should be 'interesting' to see what side we put out next game like. That's what you get when you don't invest in the areas that need strengthening though. You fat cockney cunt.
  4. That was never a red either. He was a good player like. His 80-odd England caps would be 100+ these days with the friendlies etc. Played for Milan as well in an era when not many English players went abroad. SBR rated him highly as well.
  5. Tbf, there was fuck all wrong with Cabaye as it transpired. Shocking tackle though. About 10x worse than Tiote's v the mackems. Which, ironically, 'Butch' Wilkins said was a definite straight red.
  6. You're basically making out (unless I've missed something) that you care more about the club because you think you've put some Scouser right on some fucking pointless argument about the size of the club or whatever. Aye? The initial comments were tongue-in-cheek for what it's worth although you seem to be doing your best to live up to them. Here, have some of these ;)
  7. Aye, uberfan might've been a bit harsh.
  8. We might not like him but Dalglish is to them like Keegan is to us so I can understand why they defend him to the last. I reserve the right to detest him like.
  9. All the stuff I've seen/heard seems to suggest Romney might win the popular vote but won't win the election.
  10. If you're lucky a condescending uberfan of one of the two will interject to put you right.
  11. He's your archetypal Liverpool fan like. I'll leave it at that.
  12. It is boring like. Manc-mag was always spot on when it came to this though because the size of our support given the dearth of success (tangible success anyway) is a bone of contention for many other clubs' fans because with the odd possible exception they know were pretty much peerless in that regard.
  13. Someone should put this kid in touch with the lad from Thomas Cook.
  14. Isn't the release day and the day after before the release day the same day?
  15. All fair points. I want Obama to win like although I think I'm probably guilty of buying into the myth there too.
  16. With that sort of thing in mind I was tempted to say there's a strong argumment that Obama has been worse but that was tempered by the fact it was Bush who went into Afghanistan and Iraq in the first place whereas perhaps Obama would have been more reticent, especially regarding Iraq. Who knows though?
  17. You're probably a wee bit too young thinking about it. It was 1983. Jesus wept. It was the one where they sent Bob Paisley up to collect the cup:
  18. Thought this was a stunning documentary like. I actually wondered if you'd caught it when I was watching it (DWEEB!!! that I am). It's an absolutely fascinating mission. I thought it really showed what a charismatic visionary Carl Sagan was as well.
  19. Can't see Romney getting in anyway so it's probably moot. And fair play to Obama on the medical insurance issue, despite it inevitably being watered down. What else has he done that Bush wouldn't have done though? Especially in terms of foreign policy, I can't see a big difference tbh so that's why I agreed with HF. Romney's rhetoric has been a lot more anti-war / foreign intervention than Obama's foreign policy has turned out to be so far. Perhaps we'll see a difference in the 2nd term, when he obviously doesn't have to worry about re-election, but I doubt it somehow. When he got in I used the Tommy Carcetti analogy and I stick by it.
  20. Was thinking about Ronnie Whelan when I was reading this actually. Class act. Remember that goal v Man Utd in (I think) the Milk Cup Final?
