    Leeds United

I love how they took such glee in our demise thinking we were heading down the same road as them. Meanwhile we're back in Europe and they're mid-table in the Championship
  2. I heard they were doing a biopic of you: Raging Bull.
  3. A lot of it is he doesn't want to piss Ba off in case he leaves in January.
  4. I'm doing this as well. With hilarious consequences.
  5. I was a fast runner, which always helps.
  6. He takes a feast or famine approach to most things in life though, doesn't he? I was a lot more convince by us last year, however. It was always likely to be tough to live up to last season as well though, especially with raised expectations etc. When you look at the league though we're what? 3 points off Everton in 4th who the pundits are jizzing about (but couldn't beat us at their place). And obviously grinding out results can't just be written off as a fluke when you're quarter of the way through the campaign. I also think we might sign a player or two in January with them being another 6 months into their contracts and what have you.
  7. Tend to agree with what I've read by CT about us this season though tbf. One of the few positives is that we're getting decent results without playing well though which gives me some cause for optimism. I also think that while Pardew is a bit on the cautious side the owner has made a bit of a cunt of him by not bringing in at least a couple of extra defenders over the summer.
  8. Perhaps this was just me but did you ever do that thing when you were talking to charvs and you knew trying to act hard wasn't going to work if they were older/bigger or whatever, so as a last resort tried to sound thick as fuck? Remember doing that at a house party once prior to making a sharp exit.
  9. I bet you didn't speak with that accent back then
  10. I thought the Olympics were absolutely fucking fantastic and while it's a cliche I think it's true that a lot of young people would have been inspired by what they saw. I know I was by the LA Olympics in '84.
  11. Cheers, thinking about going but I wanted a recommendation before taking the plunge as I only go about once every 6 months
  12. Spoony just got the job for PC reasons tbh. He already had a job at the BBC DJ-ing 'Speed Garage'. His lack of knowledge is absolutely appalling. I'm not even sure if he's still on because I rarely listen to 606 anymore. But as you say, Liverpool fan who's lived all his life in London just about sums the bloke up. He did a series of in depth interviews as well which were painful.
  13. Aye, Danny Baker was good. He's on Saturday mornings now.
  14. Get your shirt off for the lads, as the Toon fans once sung at Chelsea.
  15. I don't mind a bit of discipline tbh. Whoops! Wrong forum.
  16. Before I got to the 2nd half of your post I was about to say Littlecock (who I loathe as journalist) was good when he did it. Canny, sensible and you could tell he was a proper fan. I'd take David Mellor over Alan Green I think. Fucking 'Spoony' as well
  17. Anyone been to the Old Siam down the Quayside? Gets great reviews on Trip Advisor.

    Serial Killers

Quite fancy getting a copy of that Killer on the Road by Ginger Strand about the connection between the creation of the interstates in America and murder.
  19. He's a bit like quite a lot of people at the Beeb where he used to be good but now just goes through the motions. He's always fucking moaning if it's not an exciting match as well. Just retire and let someone else have their dream job then if it's that much of a drag.
  20. Aye. I hope he gets up through the night and stand on a plug.
  21. What's with all the numbered districts? Have they still got them? I haven't been since me Mam used to go to Savacentre when I was about 10.
