  1. There's a survey here from 2011: http://www.holdthefrontpage.co.uk/2011/news/journalists-reveal-earnings-of-between-5k-and-90k/ Can't see wages having risen much by then and certainly can't see Ryder being in the top 25%. Obviously that's just one survey but if Ryder's on anything approaching £40k he'd have brought it up in one of his twitter spats already
  2. Pure speculation then? Like about 95% of his articles
  3. 85% of people on here probably earn more than Ryder as well though.
  4. I assume it's a similar story for the workers in most large construction projects in that part of the world.

    Have a good one, pet.
  6. Alan Oliver was canny shite but he occasionally got it spot on and you could have a bit of a laugh playing cliche bingo. WIth Ryder though it's just fucking painful to read. He's petty as fuck as well, not to mention having far too thin a skin, biting at every jibe on social media etc. And all that article shows is that he probably is trying to get his main (possibly only) source of info at the club the manager's job full-time. Which is the exact opposite of what its trying to achieve
  7. Aye, I've come out of this looking like the weird one.
  8. Red, obviously. It crept up on you like. You could finish the bottle with little discernible effects only to be trollied about half an hour later. Especially good (horrendous in fact) if you'd had a bucket around that time. Classy as well. My mate was a big advocate of Frosty Jack (3 litre bottle which always included 50% extra free). His farts stank that night so fuck knows what sort of Dutch ovens he was baking overnight / the morning after.
  9. Forgot about Thunderbird. Proper wino's shit. Cheap though
  10. Do you have another anecdote related to a family member that can back that up?
  11. He's at the stage in his career where he's only going to be able to iron out some of those faults with game time though.
  12. Howay, man. He got slaughtered for it on social media and rightly so. But an ill-judge and ill-informed comment by a professional athlete on a medium which limits you to 140 characters is incredibly significant?
  13. I saw that. Thought it must be something more significant that a daft "tweet".
  14. KP wouldn't have made much difference imo. Would rather have seen Stokes given a chance. And the ironic thing about Piers Morgan is that he completely stitched his mate up by repeating in public everything he was told about the England dressing room. Still, if you're mates with Piers Morgan it's probably the least you deserve.
  15. Looked to be an awesome collection. He had loads of stuff his family didn't even know about (including a programme from the 1924 Cup Final. Good of them to donate it too.
  16. The idea that Ryder (or the bloke feeding him his info, i.e. Carver) has the inside track is laughable like.
  17. Think it'll be a anti-climactic points win for Mayweather. Too late in both their careers for it to be the explosive fight it might have been a few years back. Calling it the biggest fight ever is a bit like saying the Championship play-off is a bigger game than the CL Final. Still a very interesting match-up though.
  18. Reminds me of the line about having a dog called 'Syndrome'. Old skool bad taste.
