  1. Well he can't really hold the ball up so he's always going to find it difficult to achieve any sort consistency. Especially at a middling PL club. I like him though, I'm just very conscious of our inability to hang onto top class talent. His weaknesses stop him being that. Got very good movement and has an eye for goal which, as I saying before, makes him unique in our squad.
  2. Remember when he did the article for the Beeb headlined "Newcastle supporters made to eat humble pie" or similarin relation to Souness after a 6 or 7 match unbeaten run which included about 4 Uefa Cup games? He rarely has anything decent to say about us and never misses the chance to get a dig in.
  3. Aye, being honest they've completed outplayed us on a few occasions of late which is even worse when you think about how they've been over the last few seasons
  4. You should. You'd be doing him a favour
  5. I'd also suggest that if Cisse was better in terms of touch and link-up we'd have really struggled to hold onto him. We're not going to get much better with the current set-up
  6. Cisse's the only genuine goal scorer at the club
  7. Who would you class as our 3 best players?
  8. Feel like a Mackem for saying as much but would probably take a win in exchange for no more points this season. Might get half of that bargain anyway
  9. It's the same sort of thing. Vinyl is worse quality too. The 'warmth' is just the hiss you get from the needle picking up sound. It's still there when the music starts playing. CDs got a bad rap initially because in the rush to get stuff released loads of old albums were badly mastered. A properly mastered CD sounds better than vinyl ever could. I can understand a preference for the packaging or whatever though. The main advantage of vinyl is some stuff did and still does to a lesser extent only get a vinyl release. It was the only format you could DJ on but it doesn't even have that any more.
  10. Paddy could still kick the fuck out of the lot of them like.
  11. I almost want to see the Tories be the biggest single party (which looks quite likely) and to be bereft of anyone with enough seats willing to go into coalition. Could conceivably see a compromised Ed Milliband being forced into a coalition on the basis that proper PR is on the agenda. I could see an electorate going for it if it was sold right.

We were in for him when he went to Blackburn. I don't blame him for opting to go there but let's not over romanticise things. Also, I wonder if he'd have stayed throughout the post-Keegan years if he hadn't had the injury at Everton because he was a very good PL player rather than world class after that. Again that's a realistic outlook rather than a criticism. I think personal ambition overriding the club you supported as a bairn is perfectly reasonable.

  15. It's like a list you'd be impressed with if you were CT
  16. Don't think it's a wind-up like Also, whilst going to the theatre isn't my cup of char, the RSC have been coming to the Theatre Royal annually for about 40 years.
  17. Imagine how they'd go on if the Johnson situation was happening here btw. Inherently moral
  18. Surprised more don't support the mackems tbh. They've got the mentality perfected
  19. Hiding your light under a bushel there, J
