Oh ffs. Jesus wept. It proves absolutely nothing man! Edit: Oh yeah, everyone who saw it on Sky would have seen it, obviously.

Souness didn't do a lot wrong for me today regarding his team selection, tactics, and substitutions with a very depleted squad (something I partly blame him for, mind). However, we were still desperately poor most the game and this was ONE match. I judge him on what he has done for us in total so far, and also to a lesser extent on what he has done at other clubs. And the bigger picture is, he has done a very poor job overall - I don't see how anyone can deny this. So yes, he gets a modicum of credit. Which is hugley outweighed by all the crap things he has done. I'd still sack him - my patience ran out long ago.

Yes Gemmill, the performance is the most significant thing in a league game, because this is the best indicator of how good we are. I can remember us having several bad results under Robson at the start of the season we came 3rd, but I wasn't concerned a bit because I could see we were a good team. It's a marathon not a sprint after all *insert other cliches here*. Trust you not to understand this, the Mr McKay voice really suits you! 34827 Glad you like it. The Grim Reaper costume looks good on you too. 34830 Thanks, it a designer fit. But seriously, do you mainly judge games by results or performances? It's an interesting question and might go some way to explaining why we rarely agree with each other. I'm also curious to understand how a person who purely looks at a match in terms of goals scored/conceded can argue with Roberts's statistical contribution? (Joke, I don't want to go there again!) 34832 Of course I consider the performance when I watch a match. Look at the match thread, I was going on about how woeful it was all the way through the first half. But we are a team desperately low on confidence, and once the goals went in you could see that coming back. And if we win an away game 3-0 and I can see the goals bringing some confidence back to the team, then I'm not going to dwell on the performance in the first half - I think that's the difference between the two of us tbh. You dwell on the negative more than I do. 34835 Maybe you're right there, but lets face it, there's been very little to be positive about since I started posting here. When we do really turn the corner - and that means a sustained run of good performances AND results, I think you'll see a different side to me. So yes, it was a great result, and there were some individual good performances. But I saw nothing that makes me think we can do anything in this league today. In fact "fluke result papers over cracks" about sums it up for me. As usual, I hope I am wrong mind.

Usually just the normal one in internet explorer when a page isn't available/working and occasionally just a blank white screen as if it almost worked but not quite. Then all of a sudden it'll work and be fine! 34829 Possibly just DNS errors then, I think. If it happens again just use ctrl+f5 to refresh the page, and it should sort it. 34833 When i've refreshed using the refresh icon at the top of the screen it hasn't worked, but i'll try that cheers! Like i say eventually i usually get on there, it just seemed like it might be my comp rather than the site itself. 34834 Are you sure you're not banned like?

Got a link? Fucking hell that's put me off doing it......

It was hardly a kick like.

Agree completely PL. It was an odd game - for 60 minutes they were the better team, but basically I felt they didn't use Bellamy correctly. He only ever plays well with good support. Anyway, of course I enjoyed the goals, especially as it was Shearer, Owen and N'Zogbia who got them, but it has well and truly booked our passage into mediocrity in the long term. I always try and look at the performance over the results, and the performance today was really very poor imo. A better team would have kicked the shit out of us, that's for sure. But the next few games are easy on paper. I predict we will go on another Souness minirun, before losing heavily to the next decent team we play, when we will go on Souness mini-depression. Repeat this pattern a couple more time and voila - we finish 10th-16th. 34793 About right. Ironically Rileys obsession with booking our players (and an early one for Neill)actually stopped Blackburn playing their usual thug game as they couldn't risk it. When of course what they should have known was they would have got away with it and he'd have continued booking our players! But i'm the same as you, under the current situation the perfomance will give you the indicator if anything has improved or not, the result tells you merely that Zog scored and assisted and thew two strikers scored. If your managers is clearly talented, intelligent and overall doing a good job then results are what counts as you can be safe in the knowledge that you grind out some points but will be back to good football soon. Under this clown a fluke result or two or results down to individual players are not a good guide and the performance is. 34798 Of course, you just know people are going to insist we have turned the corner, or that we should eat humble pie after this, especially on N-O. I can't believe that anyone with a brain can take much comfort from that performance, the first half ranks as one of the worst ever. In particular, the defence looks pretty bad now, it cetainly isn't "sorted". Fair play to all the scorers though, and I must say I am finally seeing why people are putting stock in N'Zogbia. Souness will be gone sooner or later. I want sooner, but if he lasts the year, I guess I'm going to have to grit my teeth and bear another season without flair or entertainment, or silverware. We've all been there before, after all. I just hope we can keep hold of the better players for the next manager - especially Given, who saved our bacon today again.

Read my comment for what it is, a comment on digital camera's quality of image. Man some people! As for your second comment, yeah foreskin your computer monitor will look great hanging on the wall so you can display it because your crappy point and shot will never give you the opportunity to print anything bigger than a postcard size image. As Mr T once said, I pity the fool! 34445 I've got a Canon Ixus 400, which has 4.1 megapixels - had it for two years now and I'm still happy with it. Together with my high quality printer, I can assure you it will print perfect A4 size prints - no pixellation or blurring visible, even with a magnifying glass. Like I said this was two years ago. The present model is cheaper than when I bought it and now has a 7 megapixel array. I am sure this will be easily good enough for the vast majority of casual photographers.

Yeah, it was the little shit that I protected that went on to attack me. I guess I must have taken away his honour or something. You're right about the knives. I didn't think about that until this morning - pretty scary when you think what could have happened. I'll know not to get involved next time. But there won't be a next time - I'm giving up my metro pass and its the car or a taxi from now on. I can't stand it any more.
-
Balls. If that happens the next in line will be managing in the Championship. And before you say that is an over reaction, it's just a simple extrpolation of results.

So last night I went for a few drinks with my wife after work, and got the metro home at about 10 o'clock, back carriage. Over the years I have learned to turn a blind eye to the ubiquitous charver, and ignore their foul grunts, spitting, drinking Lambrini, smoking on the metro etc. However, last night was different, a group of them started fighting and in particular started laying in to this one kid. You can't turn a blind eye to that, well I can't, so I got up and tried to break them up. Of course, I got a barrage of abuse but none of them had the guts for a one on one, so eventually I managed to get them forcibly off the metro. I also called the police as it happens, but basically they weren't interested - the problem was there were still 4 of the bastards on the platform giving me death threats. I then turned to this kid, who was understandibly bubbling with snot and blood everywhere, and asked him if he was OK, where he was going (North Shields), etc. He seemed fine so I went back to sit with my wife, and the metro got moving again. Anyway, at Whitley Bay another group of older charvers got on, and they thought I'd laid into the kid. My wife persuaded them differently, but what does this kid do? He comes over and smacks me right in the face before pissing off too fast for me to catch him. Good job for him, I swear I would have probably killed him if I had caught him. Then the driver came, said it was all caught on digital TV and that he would get the police involved and I could prosecute if I wanted. I declined - I didn't want to hold the metro up any more and the kid hadn't even hurt me. He said I could phone the police today as the police almost certainly know who were involved but I don't know.... This is the third incident I have been involved in like this now in 3 years. I am so sick of these fucking little scumbag cunts. Forget immigrants - its these white shits that are the cause of our problems. Last week when I was in France I thought it was brilliant for many reasons, but also because they don't have a charver culture there. I decided then that I will do the best I can to emigrate - my French is reasonable so why not? This incident has made me more determined than ever. Can you even imagine what the next generation will be like? Anyway, sorry for the long moan, still pissed off about it. Anyone got any other stories, or more importantly, any solutions to the problem other than ?

I 97.9% agree with that statement, you complete jizz-bolt! 34292 I agree with Alex. Strangely, I miss Ross Gurko. Aaprilla's foreskin is nowhere near as entertaining..... BTW, who was dot.bom in a previous life? Or 80-2 for that matter?

Naive I think. It's true that they have little political power, but they are still the living embodiment of the class system. A soceity not fundamentally based on freedom or merit, but class and privilege. And then of course they are always there in the media. We are expected to respect Charle's idiotic viewpoints, and genuflect to the Queen. We are expected to mourn when one of these parasites die. Well fuck that. Down with the monarchy! 34174 Really? Who says? If he is a stupid man, tell him so, plenty of others do. I usually think that its those who are most concerned about the existence of a percieved class system that are most concerned about their place within it. 34194 Not at all, just a bit bored waiting for the bell to go..... They do piss me right off mind but I agree their are bigger issues to worry about - like the plight of NUFC for one. 34201 How about we abolish the monarchy and employ them as our manager and coaching staff. You get rid of them "ruling" the country and we get a step up in class in terms of manager and coaches from the current shower of shite! 34202 Hmmm. I think they would make better corner posts and corner flags really, I'll do the coaching. Question though - Zara Phillips - Would you or wouldn't you?

The lad's a retard, which makes me think he might be Charlie's after all. I mean you go to the most expensive private school in the country, and you still have to cheat on you're HISTORY OF ART A level exam paper in order to get into the army? One of the things I hate about living in this country, I'm not even a citizen, I am a 'subject' of these fuckwits. Bring down the monarchy I say.

I thought Kevin was gaelic for "a bit thick" tbh. That's my experience anyways.

To be fair, there are only two types of people anywhere - wankers and liars.
