It's not anyones's fault, but surely you concede that a foreign multibillionaire buying an EPL club essentially as a plaything is not good for football. Not only have they literally made it impossible to compete for the premiership, they have completely fucked up the transfer market at a time when thransfer fees were stabilising. People talk about the dominance of Liverpool in the 70s and 80s, or ManU in the 90s, but this is different. Chelsea can buy anyone they want, money no object. They don't have to make a profit or even balance the books. As long as Abromovich is there they will win the premiership every year for 10 years. Now that is boring. And yes, it is partly Souness's fault. Apparently he turned them down, or so he says. Pity, it would have been a great leveller.

I had always thought that was Dyer, but I have nothing to back that up I admit. It just seems like something he would do, although I can imagine Bellamy doing it too.

It's possibly the worst film of any genre ever. 39012 Bastard! You have now piqued my curiousity so much I'm going to have to see it! 39034 Noooooooo! If you must see it, then download a pirated copy or sneak in. I feel abused after last night. Would you want Guy Richie to profit from abusing me? 39061 Oh OK then. I'll go and see "Goal" instead.
-
He was obviously going to be a bad thing, but what can anyone do? I don't think it is an over exaggeration to say he is ruining the premiership.
-
Isn't this what that audioscrobbler thing is for, not that I've ever used it?

I thought he was poor personally. He seems scared to anything with the ball at the minute other than to pass it back to Shay, and he doesn't even do that very well. When Taylor is back he should be dropped, but because he is a Souness signing, and a very expensive one at that, he won't be.

Not guilty m'lord. 39020 Ur you a bear too big man aye? Am pure chuffed...we've goat another bear oan here man. Superb. 39025 Not quite 39026 Fozzy bear?

Is that you Sweet Left Peg? IP CHECK!

To be fair, everyone I have ever met met from Boro in a non-football context has been really canny. I just think they are a football irrelevance, they simply have no reason to exist. If only Gibson was our chairman, imagine what he could have achieved!

OK, I have to ask, what does B&Q mean? Are you demonstrating your support of the large, national "do it yourself" retailer? 38984 Aye, only good Proddy boys are allowed tae work in B&Q ye know. It's a true Gers shoap. Nae Kafflicks allowed. God Save Ra Queen. We Arra Peepil. 38998

I was surprised she wasn't in it tbh. 38980 Surely he's not that under the thumb, she's absolutely gash at acting. 38981 I quite liked desperately seeking Susan. Agree with what others have said. Lock, stock was class, but I don't rate Snatch at all and I won't be rushing to see this. 38988 It's alright despite Madonna though, wouldn't you say? 38991 Well I guess she was in character (i.e. playing herself as she was in the early 80s). She had a powerful effect on adolescent lads then. Wouldn't watch it again now mind. I forgot about Evita where she was quite good, although obviously eclipsed by Jimmy Nail!

I feel for Ameobi, its not his fault he's not a football player any more than its my fault I'm not. However, he obviously is not the heir apparent for Shearer, and I don't think Owen is really the primary striker type either. I think to be successful we're going to have to fork out a lot more money come next summer, but I'm not sure we can afford it.
-
And he was signed by the 'tosser' 38935 Completely disrespectful to call Shearer a tosser tbh. 38944 Aye because it would kill you to give Souness any credit 38949 Would Owen have come here if it wasn't for Shearer? Would he fuck! Souness can take the credit for all the lemons.
-
The reason Owen has never scored 20 league goals in a season is becaise he spends a lot of time out injured. His goals to game ratio is superb. Unfortunately, his injuries are unlikely to stop here. Still, I think he is a brilliant player, I keep pinching myself that he is here. Souness is one lucky bastard!

It's almost like you wanted Bellamy to murder us to prove Souness wrong 38865 Not at all, I was just making an observation. I'm not sure why Hughes didn't go 4-4-2 against us, was Dickov injured or something (really can't remember). However, if they had put up that performance against ManU against us, they would probably have won by a large margin and Souness might be out of a job. Do you disagree? It's a funny old game as they say.
-
Bobby Robson has stated several times that Bellamy was the worst player he's had to deal with (or something along those lines - and he didn't mean ability wise) 38858 I thought that was Robert. Anyway, I think in his autobiography he states Romario was the most difficult player he had to deal with - but he was worth it for the good of the team etc. etc.
-
Souness should be grateful Hughes didn't utilise Bellamy properly against us last Sunday. It would have been a blood bath, but instead he completely fucked up his tactics (makes a change from Souness!). AF, have you any evidence that Bellamy was a disruptive influence in the dressing room, independent from what Souness or his cronies have said? Funny how both Dyer and Bowyer are still here, isn't it?
-
Or a wider-fitting hoover attachment. That was one of our funnier ones when I was in A&E 38343 There was this brand of hoover that was made once which had spinning blades set back about 6 inches or so from the end of the tube. Now, iirc, the average male member is about 6 and 1/2 inches, and it led to a major epidemic of mutilated men going to A&E having had the the last 1/2 inch of their glans penis (i.e. bell end) cut off. . Not to mention very substantial blood loss. This is a true story btw, I have seen the articles myself published in very respectable medical journals. It's before electronic copies, so I can't link it, but trust me, it's true.

Well can we just agree he has an old fashioned view of man-management, which may or may not be a bad thing. I'm happy to judge him on results tbh. 38192 Then do so... Last game we scored three and conceeded none on a ground where we've never won before in the Premiership with an injury-hit squad and playing the last quarter of the game with only 10 men. How do you judge Souness' management performance then?? 38209 Craig, when I say results, I don't mean one game, which could have been a fluke (and indeed if you saw the game, you could hardly disagree it wasn't). I mean over a sustained period of time. We have now had a year of Souness and notched up a mere 10 premiership wins. I'm sorry but that is shit. Things may improve with Owen et al, but I don't think they will by nearly enough. Unfortunately I have no choice but to wait and see. If at the end of all this, I am right and Souness has proved to be the poor manager he has been at all his other clubs, then that is a depressing thought. Two years of my football supporting life, all our lives, wasted, because the men in charge thought like you and were proved wrong.
