1. As would I. Anelka is probably a perfect type of player to fit the formation Souness seems to favour. Expect a lot of offsides though. 9789 He also has the perfect personality not to clash with Souness..... Expect a major falling out sooner rather than later. What a joke.
2. First option = relegation Second option = bollocks
3. True 9807 Perhaps not a panic buy but I don't think for a moment he was our number one choice. 9811 Plus given our increasing desperation there is now a good chance we will get shafted over the transfer fee and personal terms. Oh well.
4. Who's going? Looks like we might be going to witness a new low in supporting NUFC. I guess the season really kicks off against West Ham. Lose that and Bye Bye Souey. Maybe.
5. Personally I think that's a bit strong. Not that I don't agree with some of your sentiments, but that its a bit disrepectful considering what he's done for us. He's in a very difficult situation after all, and anything better than a top 6 finish now is just pie in the sky, even with Owen. He could say we are aiming to win the PL, but would get justly criticised for it.
6. Amazing we have Souness, Shepherd, and players like Dyer at the club yet some refer to Shearer as a "cancer". He's made a mistake staying on, that's for sure, especially when we have fans that can call him that, but it shouldn't be forgotten what he has done for this club, and he is still the most respected individual associated with this club.
7. I hate pedestrians when I'm in my car, and hate drivers when I'm walking. Everyone's a wanker! Two things have really pissed me off recently though. The first was someone who scraped my car at Sainsbury's and didn't leave their number. They caused about £300 worth of damage and unfortunately were just off camera. The second thing that pissed me off was someone driving on the wrong side of the road and knocking my wing mirror off without stopping. Cnut. My uncle was once at the supermarket and found someone had scraped his car and had left a note. It said "Everyone thinks I am leaving my number but I'm not. So long sucker!". As you can imagine he was not best pleased.
8. I've made it a personal policy not to comment too much on a player's worth since Crouch went to Liverpool.
9. To be fair though, Jenas seemed to be a little charva playboy who couldn't give a fuck when Robson was here. 7758 And that little tirade is based on what evidence? It strikes me he is a model professional compared to the likes of Dyer. 7897 Not like you to be contrary. I know someone who sponsored his shirt one year and consequently spent some time with him and was less than impressed with his attitude and behaviour, also heard tales about him around town from people who've seen him out. Obviously you know different though 7904 No, I don't, I was just genuinely surprised, that's all, and he seems to have largely escaped the newspapers compared to some. Doesn't surprise me really, he is one of the bling bling crew. 7918 Really, based on what evidence? 7920 His jewellery? 7926 Is that a whoosh I hear? 7935 You tell me, no whooshes from where I'm sitting.

13. My thoughts entirely.
14. And on a related point to one I made earlier about 501s, where do people find there jeans wear out first? Mine always develop a hole around the crotch area, which necessitates an early throw out. And it's not lighting farts that does it either as I stopped doing that a long time ago.
15. Is it just me or are 501s really, really tight around the crotch? Is that why cowboys walk like that? As for the price, they are only slightly cheaper from my experience. Do what I do, wait for a sale here and stock up, cheapskate that I am.
16. There used to be canny club in Tynemouth called Surfers which I went to most weekends. However, that burnt down 10 years ago with the plaza.... The last club I went to was about two years ago. A horrible experience, and I must have spent close to £100 for the privelege. Never again, pubs and gigs for me.
17. I once fell asleep on it after a work's christmas party when I was completely out of it. Woke up in the depots at Longbenton. Long walk back to Tynemouth from there.
18. I was thinking about this today as it happens. It'll be a lot harder to clear the mess made by Souness than it was with Gullit, who actually left a fairly decent team; they just lacked morale And this time round there is no Bobby Robson to rely on. Oh shit.
19. From what Joey Barton said in his statement, it would seem that they were bought up in seperate homes. Interesting, seems to support the nuture over nature argument then.
20. It seems like a waste otherwise. Two exceptions for me were Claire Grogan from Gregory's girl and the one with dark hair from Strawberry switchblade. Adolescent hormones can do strange things to you....
21. Thought it would be my fault like. As I've said before, I've stated my position on Souness many times, and I'm sure you've read it, yet it's easier for you to make it sound as basic as this. Fair enough. 7468 You've got to stop this paranoia, I never said it was your fault. People are allowed to change their opinions and/or admit they were wrong, or they can be stubborn and look increasingly foolish, your choice! 7485 I don't need to change either my opinion or position, as neither are as simplistic as you like to make out. Your position hasn't changed since the day the bloke was given the job, at which point you decided right there and then that you wouldn't be giving him a chance. Tantrums and tiaras in an airport departure lounge if I recall correctly. 7486 The tantrum in the airport is a figment of your imagination! You need help! As for Souness, he has had plenty of chances to prove me wrong, he's just never taken them. Every day he makes a bigger prat of himself, like today when he said that Viduka, Owen, and Anelka were all 20 goals a season men, despite only Viduka having reached that total, once. D'Oh! I'll have you eating humble pie out of the palm of my hand one of these days, mark my words! 7492 Now you see, a level-headed person like myself would be able to shrug their shoulders and just go "Actually, that's not entirely accurate. Dunno who's given the bloke that information". Someone who hates the bloke beyond all reason would probably sit shaking their head going "There he goes. Making 'an even bigger prat of himself.' by the day. I hate him. I HATE HIM!!". 7496 Hmm, why don't you two just change yours medications. While Hobbes is probably in need of some extra Prozacs, Gemmill should definitively take less of them. They are probably making you fat either... 7503 Maybe they should include a years supply of Prozac with your season ticket. In fact, that's an excellent idea!
22. Oh dear, better shovel some of that humble pie into your own gob, Hobbes. 7497 Most reasonable people would take 20 goals a season to mean in the league, look at the stick Shearer gets for scoring against "pub" teams from Europe, not that there will be any of them for a while. Shearer incidentally has exceeded 20 goals a season 7 times, and 30 on 3 occasions. I'm not making a big fuss of it, but you would have thought Mr Souness could do a bit of research before he opens his mouth. He is willing to pay millions of pounds for these players without knowing what they are capable of. And this is just an example, if I listed all the stupid things Souness has said it would gon on for pages! His admission he doesn't believe in tactics, he doesn't believe in wingers, and he likes "proper" players are my personal favourites. Also I genuinely don't hate the man as I don't know him. I do think he is clueless when it comes to football management though.
