Well that sounds like a complete disaster!

Under Souness 433 = 451, and 442 = 460. FACT. Beeyitch. 50235 I don't think a 4-3-3 with a front 3 of Luque.....Owen......Dyer will turn into a 4-5-1. 50238 Aha, so he is a forward then!

What's Chopra got to do with it like?

What do you expect with a mere 186 posts? respect must be earned. 50188 Racist underbelly tbh. 50194 And earned doesn't mean spam.

Must be mad. He's a disaster waiting to happen. Deja vu.

or the product of a weak mind. same goes for drug addicts. sure il get a backlash for this but its just my personal opinion. no coincidence that 90percent of the drug addicts and alchos we get in at work are absolute retards who are harder to explain things too than most 10year old kids. 50177 You don't think it could be the drugs making them retarded? Chicken and egg really. There's been plenty of brilliant alcoholics and drug addicts though in history.

I agree.

I thought this was an ellipse:

Emre looks an excellent acquisition too, for less money than Bassedas cost! 50132 He's the only player I am prepared to give Souness much credit for. Shearer persuaded Owen to come to Newcastle imo.

It was a tap in tbqfh 50036 Quite. Ban this sick filth now! I remember a friend who thought "Beaver Patrol" by Pop will eat itself was a song about woodland conservationism.

It does kind of make me paranoid of visiting these places though - the police, hell, even the baggage handlers, could easily set you up. And let's be honest, the justice system over there is a bit shit - about the standard several members of this forum would like here (re: being innocent). Who care if a few innocent people cop it as long as they get the baddies?

Conversely, Robert could have had an outstanding game and scored a hatrick, and there would still be some whinging about his defensive short-comings. 50069 Did the latter ever happen in a game for the Toon? 50075 I don't follow. I thought my point was obvious though.

Well its just my opinion he's not up to PL scratch and never will be. There are plenty of kids who will never get any chance to play for NUFC, I've seen enough of Chopra (including reserves) to make my mind up. At his age, potential should be becoming reality, but it's not unfortunately.
-
Possibly! Have you seen Ameobi show less potential in a match than Chopra did last night? Would it make sense to bulk him up? A couple of goals and a run in the side can do wonders for confidence and it's always amazing what difference that can make. 50040 No unfortunately. When they bring through a striker from their academy they tend to be class like Owen or Fowler. Otherwise they will buy in players of (dubious) quality.
-
We're in a Souness mini blip - we had two last year as well. Some good results against poor opposition, but still playing poorly. Next slump due before Christmas I reckon, and it will be Souness's last.
-
There's a big difference between Luque's football CV and Chopras, really you can't make the comparison. We are supposed to be a big club, one of the best in England. Ask yourself the question - would he get a game At Chelsea, Arsenal, Manu or Liverpool? He's old enough now to know he is not the next Michael Owen, so set him free to pursue his career in a lower division imo.
-
Don't be so paranoid, just a bit of journalistic license. Personally, I thought some of the pundits and commentators were sickeningly fawning towards Shearer on Sky during the match last night. It works both ways.
-
Chopra has nothing to offer, literally nothing. Ameobi is a far superior player, however hard that is to believe! What does Chopra offer - he's lighweight (never seen him win a tackle), can't pass, isn't particularly quick, is no good in the air, and hasn't got a great shot. At least not at PL level. I honestly don't see him as an option at all, and should get shot asap. As for Ameobi, one swallow does not maketh a summer etc. It'll take a hell of a lot more convincing that he is fit to be in our team. And is Luque a striker? That's a big risk. Owen fair enough, but he'll miss 50% of games. So, all in all, I would say we need to invest about £20M up front or discover some brilliant young talent, or we will be weak as piss up front. I can't see either happening.
-
Is it surprising though? At least he got the assist right.
-
I guess we've got an outside chance with Chelsea going out now. We should go for it, using our strongest team from now on.

You can tell how cliquey this forum is when a founding member of the clique doesn't get it tbh. 49816 Clique-ist! 49830 Cliqueist-ist
