And you know this how ???? Ignorant twat 57182 The smell, mate. 57183 What about Turkish Baths though? 57190 A smokescreen. Or is it steam? 57191 A proper Turkish Bath is the best most envigorating clean you'll EVER have, followed by a proper shave - sheer bliss Pampering for blokes 57214 It's always struck me as a bit gay so I'm sure Gemmill would love it. 57234 Turkish Delights were always lush as a kid ( I mean the proper cadbury's ones, not the rubish you buy in Turkey). Bit sickly now though, and bloody tiny for the price, you can get a twix which is basically 2 in 1 for less. 57247 From a Newcastle player to twixes! While we're on the subject, I agree that real Turkish delights are rank, it pisses me off that anyone pretends otherwise. Give me Fry's any day.

Sod off, its more expensive! Also having cable means you don't need an unsightly dish like the rest of the plebs. Btw, I find tyne-side-jack's (since when was Tyneside hyphenated?) story a bit hard to believe. You need Telewest to connect you up for one thing. 57228 Telewest is shit man. FACT. Until they come out with something to genuinely rival Sky + (and I know they do have plans for this), they'll always be second choice. Sky's the daddy. Btw, "unsightly dish". So gay-sounding. 57230 Your probably right. I stay with them because of Blueyonder broadband though - its the dog's bollocks!

This country's seriously a rip off - I paid £3.20 for a pint of Stella in a normal pub in Edinburgh earlier this year. I'd love to go on holiday to the western isles of Scotland, but its actually cheaper to go to the Carribean. 57206 Places like Skye are beautiful but you're right, a week in the Western Isles would probably be the more than a week abroad. And it's harder to get there! 57207 Actually I might give Skye a go this year, I think the bridge is now free at least. Mull is absolutely stunning, and gives access to Iona and Staffa. However, the ferry over there is a complete rip off! 57212 Is Staffa the place with the basalt formations like Giant's Causeway? If so, I'd love to go. It looks amazing I've seen it on TV before. 57220 Yeah, it is. You need to get a small boat to take you there, and weather permitting (a big uncertainty), it will drop you off on Staffa and you can enter Fingal's cave. The wildlife is amazing too - whales, seals, every type of sea bird imaginable. Well worth it even though it is a complete bugger to get to.

Grand Designs was on you liar. 57218 I did used to like that, but there's only so many grand designs you can take. Anyway, this documentary thing was actually decent enough, so there. Mind they had some grown women on and one of them started crying when she was talking about Take That splitting up - 10 years later! What a tit. 57219 Rome was also on. I never knew Julius caesar had epilepsy.... Anyway, we all know that 9 pm is your bed time, so you stayed up late especially, you big puff!

I quite liked them actually.

Well done. You've finally confirmed your not-so-in-the-closet-gayness, you big hom!

I reckon you're just looking for an argument about it tbh. 57186 Oh no I'm not. No, Paris OK, I'm just not as enamoured by it as some people are, but its well worth a long visit. I'll tell you where I really like which is generally disregarded by people - Brussels. The beer alone makes it worthwhile - truely amazing. 57196 Brussels is alreet but nowt special. Expensive as well. I was there with work earlier this year. 57198 Twice as cheap as gay Paris - FACT. 57201 Never been to Paris so I wouldn't know. FACT. 57203 OK, three times as cheap as London - FACT.

I've never been to Belgium although I've got a fancy for Brugges which is meant to be beautiful and, as you mention, Belgian beer is the dog's bollocks. Never considered Brussels though. 57197 If you like trains (which I do ) you can get the Eurostar there, and enjoy the trip with a couple of bottles of Duval. Lots of good cheap hotels, well worth a trip for a weekend. But then again, I love weekend trips to most European cities. Easyjet and Ryan air have changed everything, even if they are shagging the environment.

Geordie Fish gets picked on quite a lot, doesn't he?

Quite amusing such a pretentious person hasn't been to Paris too, or even abroad, as is implied by the thread title.
-
It's a bit of a strange city, I'm not 100% convinced by it - I prefer smaller French cities. Can be very expensive with plenty of people trying to rip you off - especially in bars. If your in a car make sure nobody sets it alight.

Nope, haven't got anything, but it's going to be the same old story.

The bastard beat my "unbeatable" golf score aswell. Twat 57038 Strange for a gay to be so good at computer games? 57060 Spongebobs a fruit? 57063 He is from Brighton.

Well fair enough, but I really can't see this one being pulled off in a million years. As Alex has said, financially the Owen signing makes any other big signings less likely - NUFC is run as a business unlike Chelsea and it would not make any sense to shell out so much money (probably at least as much as Owen) on another player, particularly an injury prone one. Plus, even if we had the resources, why would he come here? Before you point out that Owen did, he made it pretty clear that we were way down on his list - but for some reason the other big clubs didn't fancy him. Also, with Shearer retiring, if we have any money left to spend at all, it has to be invested in a striker. With the exception of Owen and Shearer, who have we got up front? In reality, we could do with another two strikers given Owen's injury record. All this makes the signing of a nine figure midfielder ludicrous imo, especially considering we already have cover for that position.

A word of advice: driving cars in real life is not the same as driving them on a video game.

Sounds like Breakthrough or Archanoid. I think there's a version of Breakthrough in the Arcade. Go on, you know it makes sense.....
