Yeah, their records were much cheaper. Tbh that's a bit of an odd comparison. 56821 Stripey gay goth cat. 56824 Yep, can't deny I was a bit of a goth but I'm sure it was a bit more cool then. Don't think I was stripey or gay though. Or a cat. 56834 Never been cool tbh. 56837 Well I didn't go the whole hog with make up etc. I do suit black though.

So what music does Gemmil like then?

It's not that long ago that you reckoned people who thought Michael Owen would sign for us had their head in the clouds.... http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?...970entry17970 56657 I know, I was wrong. That's why we should go for Henry, because we can sign anyone and we want, money no object! 56660 I think most of us were a tad cynical regarding Owen coming here. Especially after the Rooney saga and our poor league campaign. In any case, signing Owen, if anything, makes it less likely that we would sign Robben as we probably wouldn't have the cash even if he were available. 56788 Yes, that's the point I was trying to make. Few of us thought we could land Owen at the time, but through a combination of shrewd business and good fortune, plus Alan Shearer's pulling power, we managed it. However, for Craig to use that as an argument to proove we can get any world class player we wish is just plain ridiculous. Do people think we have infinite funds, or that we are are a more attractive option than teams like Barcelona, Milan, Arsenal, ManU etc? I now know what HTL was talking about when he accused people of talking Championship Manager on here. Obviously its harmles to speculate, but I think people should be at least a little realistic. This reminds me of a N-O thread.

They're the wierdest identical twins I have ever seen. One is quite attractive (Sophie), yet the other one (Mel) is, well, not, for some reason.

I've got it but its shit tbf. You have to pay for it apart from the replay things, but they're just shitty BBC soap operas. Or worse, the news. Hmmm, I think I'll watch the Nerws from the BBC three days ago..... I mean, wtf is the point in that? I'd switch to Sky plus if it weren't for the fact I can't be arsed and I have to get a hideous dish put on my wall.

You haven't heard of Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Waterson? You should give it a try, you never know, you might like it. I'm not obsessed, but I recognise genius when I see it. Pity he stopped writing in 1996...... Who was the second comment aimed at - Manc Mag by any chance?

(I think the way I placed that originally made me sound like I meant the songs, rather than the band. Umm.. but... yeh...) Thanks for the link. 56746 In Between Days is class. The Ben Folds version that is. The Cure are shit. 56749 The Cure aren't/weren't shit, that's just plain wrong. Hang your head in shame! They were a really signficant band of the late 80s/early 90s, lost count of how many times I have seen them. Headlined Glastonbury 1990 iirc, which was one of the best periods of my life. Wouldn't listen to them much now, but then that's true of most bands of that era, like the Smiths, for instance. I wouldn't listen to them now either, but they gave a hell of a lot of pleasure at the time.

Haven't been for yonks. The discovery museum has been done out recently and is better than I remember the Hancock. It's free too.

Changed outfit 4 times!

Got their 'proper' albums tbh 56613 I saw Erasure at the city hall in 87 I think. They were OK tbh.

Most of the Harry Ramps I see are white like! 56582 That's true, but do you live in Newcastle? There are hardly any black people here. However, I hear prison is full of them..... It may be true but I do find it surprising to say the least.

Getting back to the original article, that is an amazing statistic. Personally, I suspect it's bollocks.

When was the last time we won at Stamford Bridge?

Kicks Hobbes's ass on googlefight. Phillistines. 56458 How 80's is Garfield man? 56546 Very. Remember those Garfield dolls people would stick to their car rear windows? As 80s as Bros. Best left there.

No man should be seen on any dancefloor, revolving or otherwise. FACT. 56530 Especially men who are patently insecure about their sexuality. FACT!

I've heard Henry has fallen out with Wenger, and won't re-sign his contract. I think we should make a move for him, because he'd play lush with Owen.
