    Suicide

My mate did it at school. Hung himself when he was 12. Very hard for me to understand when I was 11 and now I'm 22 I still don't understand why he did it. Just a tragic waste of a good life.
  2. Patrick Roy. Was great. And he knew it. What a goaltender. Was incredible to watch. Peter Forsberg. It helps that he plays for the Flyers. but when fit this guy is amazing to watch. One of the best players in the league. Just a pity the shite that he's got on his team right now is bringing him down.
  3. Brett Lee. Not exactly for his wonderful ability, as I think he can be erratic, but for his never say die attitude but balanced with great sportsmanship. I've got a lot of time for him.
  4. Aye looks like being a draw here. Pitch is dead and 11 wickets in 3 days tells it's own story. Giles drop will be the key moment though as at 79/4 or whatever it would have been would have put massive pressure on Michael Clarke and Mike Hussey. It's been like watching cricket in the sub-continent. Pitch is terrible and unless something drastic happens this game will die a slow death.
  5. A draw isn't good enough tbh True, but you can only piss with the cock you've got. It's up to the batsman do do their job so that the bowlers are in the position to do the rest. Whether the bowlers are up to it is a different matter. Great second day for England though. Collingwood scoring 206 and Pietersen 146 not out at tea. 4/468 is a great effort, and shows good character after the last test.
  6. England 3/300. Looking good so far. It's imperative that England bat themselves into a posititon where it's nigh on impossible for Australia to win. Then they can have a go. I'm just glad that we have a series. I feared the worst after Brisbane.
  7. Larsson signing on loan till the Swedish season starts in the middle of March. Would have taken him here in a heartbeat.
  8. That's the thing Alex. England have had such a positive day with the bat, but however positive it gets tomorrow it may not make a difference. England could bat out tomorrow and score 600, but if they don't take 20 wickets there's not much point. That being said though Glenn McGrath was getting the ball to reverse a bit, which for me was a great sign for Flintoff and Anderson.

    Happy birthday kiddo.
  10. Tea time. 86 runs. 0 wickets. I think I'd be right in saying that England didn't bat through a single full session last summer without dropping a wicket. Well done to Bell and Collingwood for knuckling down and getting to tea without losing a wicket, and both getting to 50. This evening session is crucial if England have any chance of winning this test match.
  11. If they keep up this rate my 1-0 win prediction could of been a good bet. I know what you mean. While I'm happy England have only dropped 2 wickets in nearly 2 sessions play is good. But I remember last summer when England scored 400 on the first day at Edbaston at more than 5 an over. Which is a far cry from the snooze fest so far today. Still, shouldn't grumble too much! Things could have been a lot worse at 45/2!
  12. Slow run rate was frustrating as England didn't look too into scoring runs, but were still dropping wickets. However hopefully Bell and Collingwood can keep this up for the moment till at least tea.

  15. There was a Frenchman in my game called Aurellien Teaudors who was class and was sold for 2 million. Also a guy called Didier Digard. He plays for Sporting Lisbon in my game. Not sure if that's where he starts. Had a 4 million bid accepted but he was clever enough not to want to sign for Aberdeen.
  16. Aberdeen rocking and rolling with a 3-0 win at Dunfermline yesterday. 1 Celtic 16 21 41 2 Rangers 16 10 28 3 Aberdeen 16 9 28 4 Hibernian 16 12 23 5 Hearts 16 5 23 6 Kilmarnock 16 -7 22 7 Inverness CT 16 -3 20 8 Falkirk 16 -3 18 9 Dundee Utd 16 -13 17 10 St Mirren 16 -7 16 11 Motherwell 16 -9 15 12 Dunfermline 16 -15 12 Maybe a bit early to start talking about Champions League football mind! My team came roaring back to win 6-4 after being 3-0 down today. Cue absolute bedlam. The police almost ended up getting involved as all their guys wanted to do after the game was fight. It was appaling. Still, we'll take the points!
  17. Stewart Milne has sold 4 of my players that way. Raging.
  18. i can't understand why they didn't enforce the follow on like. they could have had it wrapped up by tea today... The crowd just fucked off too. Dead cricket with Australia batting.
  19. Seriously though, I know someone might come back with the "You humped us in the first test last time and we still won." line, but seriously, this is embarrasing. The worst West Indies of the last 20 years put up a much better fight this time last year. England all out for 157. Appaling. Surely Australia aren't going to bat again. Looks like that's a possibility.
  20. Not a great day for England at all. The wicket looks good, but worryingly for me, it's turning. Warne may get the ball and spin England out convincingly. Best England can hope for from this test is a draw already.
