And who would be those cynical souls then?

And lazy..... And ginger. Judging by the picture, Just For Men tbh.

Isn't that the point with Shearer? Yeah, and I think that's what he's trying to say an'all. I agree with Gemmill though. Why anyone, other than Shearer with his north east roots, would pick us or Blackburn over Manchester United is makes no sense to me.

*Tin hat on* I love the NFL. I'd much rather watch it than watch bloody rugby. Will be watching the Superbowl as always. I root for Philadelphia but they cocked up in the Divisional game so don't really mind who wins it this year.

Rodney, you plonker! Del Boy. Uncanny too.

Jim Leighton in goals.

Well done to Andy Murray. Hopefully he can keep on improving at the rate he is. I find his ranting a bit annoying though.

I loved Serie A back in the day. Remember some classic games on a Sunday. I remember Inter being 3-1 up on Sampdoria at the San Siro with about 8 minutes to go and losing 4-3. Also remember Milan drawing 4-4 with Lazio. Anyone remember the last day of the season when Lazio won the league? Pissed down with rain in Perugia I think it was where Juve were playing. They only needed a win. 0-0 at half time. All the Lazio fans watching it in the Olympico as Juve lost and they won the league. Classic stuff. Some quality players back in the day too. The goalie Rossi at Milan. Ledge. Baresi, Blanc, Signori, Batistuta, Sosa, Scifo, Pagliuca. Some proper nutters too. Remember a story about Luca Bucci stubbing a cigar out on the Lazio president's face. I loved Gazzetta and I'd love to see it back on Channel 4.

Brilliant.

Can't believe it's been that long - respect. Although to be fair, after Newcastle last night and Aberdeen tonight it's certainly character building! Aye was 3 years in November. Pretty proud of it like, if I do say so myself.

Haven't drank for 3 years. Don't really want to preach to people about not drinking like as it's that individuals choice. Sure, some folk are arseholes when they're drunk, but then so was I when I drank. Each to their own.

Fair enough. I knew one was inb 96 and one was in 97. Just couldn't mind in what order.

Aye the cunt. He liked the toon as well, he admitted after he retired. He said he was gutted when he equalised after that 1-1 that basically bollocksed our title hopes. That was the last time we lost at home in the cup(before last night) wasn't it, when Woan scored? I was at the Forest away game (I was at Uni just down the road then) when we drew 1-1 and he scored. To be fair to him he barely celebrated and it was a screamer. Did we not lose at home on penalties to Chelsea the year after the Forest game? Might be wrong like, and it could have been Carling Cup. Not totally sure.

Rain here. Snowed like fuck yesterday, but it's gone already.

On the plus side, we're still the 5th best team in the country. Not worth getting too downhearted.

anyone else read this totally biased article in The Sun???

Some of the quotes in that report are tremendous. I love the fact we got to them. -
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_spor...rts/6264215.stm Jelle Klaasen, Michael van Gerwen and Vincent van der Voort leave the BDO for the PDC. Can't blame them, but I'd be surprised to see van der Voort make any sort of impact over there. He'll no doubt disappear into the cluster. The interesting thing is though that Mervin King has been talked about as defecting to the PDC sooner or later. The problem he has is that by reaching the semis he's bound to a contract to return to the Lakeside next year. We shall see. I think Klaasen could be decent over there and van Gerwen will do well.

After the Taylor vs Barneveld PDC World Final and this we've been treated to 2 amazing finals in a fortnight. great stuff. Well played Nixon and Adams. Great stuff.
-
Good, but not as good as the top players in the PDC.

They've flown through the first 5 sets! He only needs 2 more - be positive, Jody! Hate to say I told you so. Had on, Scotsman. He's not lost yet [sings]Cos baby it aint over til it's overrrrr....... [/sings] Never said I thought he'd lose. Just said the match would end up close because of stamina and he looked tired. Cosidering how he'd been finishing that 121 outshot to win the match was a fucking corker! Well done to him.
