I think that he really doesn't have any intention of selling. He has the ridiculous asking price to intentionally put off any interested parties while at the same time "appeasing" the fans who are happy that he is "trying" to get out of toon. He is going to be around for a while.....

All that money and no one to trim the eyebrows....

As an American supporter of NUFC (my apologies Stevie ) I think that this is a great idea. I haven't posted much regarding the protests and the issues currently with the club because I obviously can't do anything from Florida other than tell the fiancee and family not to bother buying me any NUFC related merchandise (which they seem relieved to be doing as it has saved them quite a bit of money). With an organization such as this to give myself and the ex-pats I watch the matches with more of a way to be involved would be most welcome. 10 quid = 20 bucks. Count me in. And if there is talk of establishing clubs/chapters/groups/whatever-you-want-to-call-them in other countries then I will be more than happy to volunteer my time.

London and don't have our reputation (or Wise) most likely. I'd go with that. Taking a step back for a second and taking off my 'Ashley is a twat' hat - is the club not making a considered decision and not rushing in? Potentially it could take a month to get a good person? By this I'm meaning, we're deriding them for not getting somebody in quick, but we'd also deride them for making a rush decision. They can't win. Realistically, I firmly believe it's because no-one will touch us with their mates let alone their own *puts his 'ashley is a twat hat back on* Ashley was doomed to failure after forcing KK out. He won't be able to do anything right until he appoints the manager that will win us something (and with the way things are looking in terms of the feeder club philosophy, I don't see that happening). I am willing to bet it is going to be someone hispanic that no one has heard of and has no experience but is friends with Jimenez (I don't think it's all about Wise).

NBB gives O's to students!! Wonder what they have to do to get the A as well??

I give "0's" to students who quote wikipedia ffs!

I wonder what that group McMahon is a part of is thinking about all of this... This can't make their jobs of promoting the club overseas any easier...

Send the money for the flip flops and the shipping and I will get them for you. They have to be cheaper in the US don't they?

If they go down that option i think there will be mutiny no matter what they do. Even the arrival of Mourinho probably won't mask the bitter discontent among the fans. If we look at it subjectively, the sacking of Big Sam was dodgy - nothing was really said about it though because 1) in general he wasn't well liked and 2) they replaced him with Keegan. They pulled the ultimate master-stroke 8 months ago in appeasing the fans by re-appointing the Messiah - quite how they managed to persuade him to come out of retirement deserves praise as it is! If he leaves however, they've played the ultimate faux pas and I don't think it matters what they do to try and patch it up, the fans will never be on-side with them again. He literally does have them by the balls and I pray to fucking god they don't play arrogant. I would imagine that MA could regain the respect of the fans if it made painfully obvious that he has completely dismantled the current setup of Llambias/Wise and gives Keegan the power that he needs/deserves....
-
I too see it not as KK staying but the club trying to put the blame away from themselves. If KK does walk, the board/MA will still be the focus of the fans anger. What could they possibly do to get the fans to side (or at least accept) KK's departure? Who could they appoint? (other than KK) just curious what the thoughts would be.

agreed. That used to be the first site I would go to but no longer...

Cenotaff, Been reading the Villa forum... you weren't serious about this were you? Link

Yep he's injured as is Cacapa. Thanks Tom.

Is Kazenga Lua Lua injured? I would have imagined he would have made the squad...

This makes me wonder if thewse two players weren't going to go would our transfer activity be over? Or is KK meaning in addition to the transfers we already have lined up... Still a bit pessimistic even with the good news today.

I can't believe we are getting more for Shola than we are for Faye...

Agreed with what you said... this is pathetic. Not being too familiar with the legal system in the UK; isn't there any statute of limitations regarding offences such as this? I know that here in the US you have to press charges within a certain period of time depending on the charges (murder/rape being the exception) or else it won't happen.

Re: Warnock Link Doesn't help the optimism on that front...

I think to get the best out of him would require not playing him...

If the Cubans ever come back your way to play, you can deal in cigarettes instead of money. During the 96 Olympics I had volunteered at the baseball venue and for a couple of packs of camels I got a hat and a ball signed by the team! Was the number three you were referring to have long hair? If so he was quality at the game I went to and even had a go at some of the fans from Ecuador...

I saw the Cuban national team play earlier this year for a CONCACAF olympic (or maybe WC) qualifier game. I had tickets for the last day of games and by that time half of the Cuban team had defected. The Cuban immigrants that were there were yelling at the bench offering rides if the remaining players wanted to leave as well. Being of Cuban decent, I probably would have driven a few back to miami as well!

That was probably due to the confusion of whether he was from North America or South America and where Mexico falls within those two.
