West Virginia is the American version of Sunderland Ah but do they have taxis? Even better... they have limo services:

from skysports.com Wouldn't this be a violation of the non-disclosure agreement that all the parties agreed to? Makes me skeptical.

I always thought that Onyewu wasn't given enough of a chance... Although Milan are not what they used to be, it is a step up from the club he has been playing for.

does that remind anyone else of the thing that pops out of Jabba the Hutt's palace door at the beginning of Return of the Jedi? Or the ship in "Flight of the Navigator"...

Is it me or are the turkish teams really active in the market this summer? Taylor to Fenerbahce, Martins to Besiktas, etc....

Newcastle United - "Tedious soap opera"

You don't think you could buy out his contract? You don't think he would come? It's bloody Derby Spending money hasn't been a factor with the club lately has it??? If we were going to spend the money, I would rather keep Shearer and buy some players. -
I guess that will have to do then.........

Won't .co.uk have matches streaming on their website???

Alan Shearer to discuss four-year deal at Newcastle
AmericanMag replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Maybe being a bit too optomistic but this failure to reach an agreement today may have something to do with the takeover talks happening at the same time.... Yeah... definitely too optomistic -
No... I wouldn't. But if Ashley is willing to get whatever he can for it, he may sell off a portion (and possibly a majority) of the club if he can't find anyone to buy the whole thing. This may lead to a complete buyout further down the line.

I saw it mentioned elsewhere that the preseason will begin in the beginning of July... anyone have an idea as to when preseason/season fixtures will be released? Hope to see a match when I am over in July...
-
Could it be a possibility that this "consortium" is not looking to buy the club outright but instead looking for a partnership deal? IIRC, that was another option Ashley was putting out there when he was selling the club the first time. That would seem plausible to me as it wouldn't necessarily interfere with the appointment of Shearer as manager... or would it?

Too many times this season after Given left I was dissapointed in the way that Harper stays within the 6 yd box. On more than one occasion on Sunday I was amazed that he wasn't out to get to the ball sooner. It's time for Krul to step up.

Sitting in the pub... don't know how I am going to do it as it is on tape delay at 9:45 FFS!!! Was going to watch the Hull v. ManUtd match but I am sure they will be chiming in with what is going on elsewhere...
