  1. Master ...please don't punish me for such a minor offence 46. Ok just this once though : ) Don't you mean you're? Try to keep up.
  2. I bet Jihad listens to a lot of Rage Against the machine. Like the ava, though.
  3. could be the winger to replace duff and/or jonas when they go... and he can also be the striker with pace to play alongside Shola when Carroll goes.
  4. never liked Shola... think he is a donkey. But me and my friends were clapping him off in the pub. still think he is a donkey, though.
  5. Good match! Watched it live on Setanta.
  6. I wouldn't piss on Mike Ashley if he was on fire...
  7. What was the chant for Ginola that went to the tune "Lola"?
  8. Not if we go down again. It's a gamble, though. I'd say on the basis of the WBA game, we look like we'll better than the 3 worst teams in this division. But how many of the players that played against WBA, do you think will still be here The flaw in this thinking is that every other team in the division has depth to cover for injuries which we do not. When the injury crisis strikes again (and it will) will we still be better than the 3 worst teams in the division?
  9. I honestly thought he was going to make a joke about the SIMPSONS and DUFF
  10. what about jurys inn? few of my mates were there last weekend said it was pretty decent I stayed at the Jury's Inn and it wasn't half bad. It does have quite a bit of stag and hen parties but they usually try to seperate them by floors. I liked it over all. Don't go to any of the pubs/clubs around there though... it's called "the pink triangle" or something, isn't it? (unless that's your sort of thing...)
  11. They really do seem to run hot and cold with their results. I don't get a chance to see them play very often, but what do you think is the cause? Do they gel as a team? It is difficult to say. It should be known that Mexico's record at the Azteca is something like 22-0-1 or something along those lines so it is a difficult place to play. I haven't seen a us field the same starting XI for a while now. There is always some different player in the roster. i.e. Baines was a player I hadn't seen too much before (fast as hell and scored our goal) but I couldn't say with any certainty that he will be on the field in the next match. The only ones I can say will definitely be in the next match will be Donovan, Onyewu, Dempsey, Bocanegra, and Howard. I think strategy also plays a big part of our results. The manager (Brady) has the team go completely defensive after we had scored... but we had scored within the first twenty minutes... Did something similar when we were up against Brazil.
  12. Isn't there a way to convey to any potential buyers (if there are any) that the boycott is towards Ashley and the current regime and that if a purchase is made the fans will come back? A media blitz of sorts... I understand that Ashley already has the money from ST sales but an empty or greatly decreased stadium will be a clear sign of the money he is missing out on from sales within the ground. Just my two cents and before anyone says... I understand that I am living away and not a ST holder. But believe me when I say that I am feeling frustration over here just as well regarding this whold fiasco and want a change to happen before it's too late.
  13. The US lost to Mexico 2-1 at the Azteca. I fucking hate the Mexicans...
  14. Question: Are there any laws regarding the treatment of a police dog in the UK? In the US, if a person fleeing from a police dog turns, shoots and kills the dog but is later apprehended, he will be put up on the same charges as if he was assaulting or killing a human officer. Given that a police officer left 2 police dogs to die in a vehicle (in hot weather) and he's only (eventually) being prosecuted as normal person would be, probably not. Thanks for the answer. And that police officer sounds like an idiot. That law sounds literally insane. Is it a federal law or have just some states got it? How can you get a life sentence (especially bearing in mind life really means life in the US) for killing a dog that's attacking you, regardless of it being a working dog or not? Anyway, watching the video of the aftermath and reading the police comments I can only conclude: 1) It looks like anyone who wanted to avoid trouble could have (but an earlier video might disprove this). 2) Dogs have no place in crowd control situations like this. It's practically animal cruelty. I don't think that it is a federal law per se, however all the states have pretty much the same law when it comes to the protection of it's law enforcement. BTW, A life sentence quite often does not last life as parole is common.

  17. There was the one point in the game where he is running with the ball with no one around him and he was going straight to the corner... I was yelling at the telly "TO THE FUCKING GOAL YOU JACKASS!!!" Kalli Nichta, bitch!
  18. How do you know? Do you know Ashley? He might just be spurred into a deal because the national media are telling him to fuck off. You could well be right. My impression of Ashley is that he likes £££££££££££, and wont be deflected by anyone or anything. EDIT: and yes I do know Ashley. I've not told anyone on here, but he was at my daughter's Bat Mitzvah. MAZEL TOV!!!
  19. Olympiakos or Panathinaikos should be able to afford him... AEK as well. Teams outside of Athens though wouldn't be able to.
  20. The NUSC is prepared to do whatever its members feel is correct and there's a members meeting on Thursday where Im sure this will be a big topic. What we have to remember though is the long term aims of the trust and the supporters representation being the most important. Its a difficult one to balance, the need to show our (the fans) feelings against whats best for the club long term. I know how I personally feel, in that Id love to do whatever we can to ruin this bastard once and for all for what hes doing to our football club but Im well aware that theres more at stake than just the next couple of weeks etc. Oh and living outside the country is no barrier to membership, we have members in 31 countries now, including many Americans As Pud says, there are loads of people signed up who live abroad. You've got no excuse now...! Thanks for the response PP. I was under the impression that the setting up of the trust was the priority at recent meetings. And if me being a member from the US will help the cause then I will sign up! (always a sucker for the guilt trips!) Double charge for our colonial friends. Call it a modern 'representation for taxation', if you like. Still a bit upset about that tea being dumped in the harbor, eh?

  22. I may have asked this before so apologies if I am repeating myself but: PP, is the NUSC prepared to do something if Ashley pulls the "I decided to stick it out" card again? I admit that I am not a member of the NUSC since I live outside of the country... sorry about that.
