  1. If I was Roy its a no brainer Rooney must play. I find it baffiling that some have said keep him on the bench, no way should Wayne be on the bench he's our star player and he must start. Messi wouldn't be on the bench for Argentina, Ronaldo wouldn't for Portugal and Benzema wouldn't for France so neither should Rooney. So Waynes got to start alongside Welbeck for mine, Danny has got a great partnership with Rooney at United and he has done really well for England in the last 3 games and scoring 2 goals in the process. Carroll did nothing wrong but I would have him on the bench and he's a good option to come on if England are in need of a goal or if they want to change there style of play. I would go with the Ox on the right but I reckon Roy will probably go with either Milner or Theo after his brilliant cameo the other day, I reckon Theo would be better as an impact sub though like he was used the other day, and he could do some serious damage with tiring defences. I would have Young on the left but he has to improve dramatically for me if he wants to keep his place in the knockout stages if England get there as so far he has to be the biggest dissapointment in the England team. I will go for a narrow 2-1 England win but we can ill afford to have a 20 minute spell 2night like we did against Sweden last time out as we could well end up out of the tournament.
  2. Im quite confident we will get off to a solid enough start. Atm I can see us getting at least 3 points, could change I guess if we get rid of some of the stars and both Chelsea and Tottenham improve there squads dramatically. But at present I dont think we will be playing catch up that much, we tend to raise our games for the bigger sides to and hopefully Cisse will notch another against Chelsea . Whatever happens its going to be an exciting start to the season and I for one cannot wait for the new season to start.

    Demba Ba

Hopefully he will stay as he has been excellent, and he and Cisse have the makings of being our best strike partnership since Shearer and Sir Les, however it doesn't look that good atm. I hope though the fact he loves the city and has a gd rapport with the fans will keep him here, the fact we are in europe should help to. I dont think though he enjoyed playing out wide in the 2nd half of the season, to his credit he did it without moaning but Im pretty sure inside he would have been a bit peeved off about it. I do wish the club had tied him down on a new improved contract and got rid of the release clause, the only positive about that is its supposed to be a bit complicated so hopefully that will work in the toons favour. It would be fantastic if he stayed as he was a massive hit at the club.
  4. I love watching Luuk De Jong play. I think he's a great player now and who knows how good he will end up in the future. He scores so many goals and different goals of that to. He's decent in the air and has a cracking shot on him, he's an all round excellent player and I really hope we sign him, and whos to say he will be a replacement for Ba if we have a strikeforce of Ba, Cisse and De Jong then that will be one of the best strike forces in the premier league and the sky would be the limit with an attack like that. I hope we sign Debuchy and I really hope Cabaye is doing all he can to try and get him to sign up along with Ben Arfa. He looks an outstanding talent and one of the best attacking fullbacks in europe from what Ive seen at the Euros. He's at a good age to at 26. If we dont get him we should go for Pieters. I hope that were after Anita to as he's another outstanding prospect and would be another excellent addition. Whatever happens hopefully it will be an exciting summer ahead of what should be another fantastic season. One of the keys though is keeping the top players, the likes of Cisse, Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Tiote, Ba, Krul Colo etc and if that happens then we should be in for another wonderful campaign. This is the most exciting time to be a toon fan since the days of Sir Bobby, Robert, Bellers, Shearer, Solano, Speed, Woody and co.
  5. Im delighted with the start to the season. I wanted a tough start as I think you always have more chance of causing an upset at the start to the season when teams aren't at there best. I think we have a real chance of getting off to a good start if we sign the players we are meant to be after and keep the bulk of the current squad.
