  1. Formations are never as rigid on the pitch as they are when they are written down, or at least they shouldn't be. We could quite easily play a 442 if we bought Austin for example; Janmaat Mbemba Colo Haidara Sissoko De Jong Colback Aarons Mitrovic Austin Sissoko tucks into allow Janmaat to provide width, Haidara doesn't fly forward as much, hopefully leaving Aarons 1v1 with the fullback. Systems only carry you so far, you need intelligent players who understand their role, abilities and limitations. This is a bigger struggle than playing 442 or 433 for us at the moment.
  2. Colback is a below average, lower premiership midfielder. Doesn't do anything particularly well, but isn't offensively bad. If everyone was fully fit and playing well, I would go for Tiote Wijnaldum Sissoko De Jong Cabella Mitrovic

    Hangovers

I can't handle it any more, I generally take at least a day to recover. I am going out later tonight for a friends birthday, I have taken Monday off in prep. Only 30 and long gone are the day of getting pissed up on a Thursday and "going" to uni on a Friday.
  5. If that is the four we have I would go Colo and suppose Mbemba (without seeing him play). I have seen Lascelles play and he has all the physical attributes to be a success but I wouldn't want to rely on him for an extended period. I think Taylor is adequate but as noted, is regularly injured. So I would prefer another choice.
  6. Also would keep Colback as backup unless we replaced him with a better player. I probably didn't word my original post properly, I would be fine with Colback being 4/5th choice central midfielder. Not starting every game he is fit for.
  7. Well ideally I would peddle Williamson, and sign another central defender as well as Mbemba. Meaning Taylor could be relied on if necessary/fit as a 4th choice but I can't imagine either of those things happening.
  8. Fair share of work martyrs in our office, get some right looks if you aren't at the desk at half 8 and leave before 5. Well fuck those old cunts, I have flexi time.
  9. Steven Taylor is at least a passable premier league centre back when fit. I don't think Anita is a world beater by any means. I also said I would only get rid of Colback if he was properly replaced. I think last season we saw the sum total of Colback's ability. The younger lads would hopefully be loaned out, like I said. If everyone was fit and playing at their best none of the three would get in my first 11 anyway.
  10. Bringing the romance there mate, cheers
  11. Out of all the hobbies in the entire world, everything you can think of from stamp collecting to base jumping, has anyone ever thought "I fancy metal detecting". Its just dogging without the fun stuff.
  12. Yes! Hard to describe but not grabbing me like the last. TBF I have just been listening to Fat White Family for about a year so my taste might be off.
  13. Football as always is a game of opinions. In my opinion he is slightly below average with very little room to improve. If we want to improve as a team, you have to have better players.
  14. Cheers mush. Got a flat next door to Sarphatipark in Pijp, with the idea being we can walk most of the things we (she obviously) wants to do, the trains and trams and that are class from hazy memory, if not.
  15. Sorry for the long post. As far as I can tell the following players are at the club. We are allowed to register 25 players max, homegrown rules only apply if you aim to get into europe? If players are under 22 and have been here a while they don't need to be registered. Not certain on all that like. I would definately lose the red ones, yellow if properly replaced. Younger lads to go out on loan if possible. Keepers Tim Krul Karl Darlow Rob Elliot Freddie Woodman Defenders Fabricio Coloccini Mike Williamson Kevin Mbabu Lubo Satka Paul Dummett Massadio Haidara Daryl Janmaat Steven Tayor Curtis Good Midfielders Moussa Sissoko Vurnon Anita Olivier Kemen Shane Ferguson Gael Bigirimana Siem de Jong Rolando Aarons Remy Cabella Haris Vuckic Cheick Tiote Gabriel Obertan Mehdi Abeid Jack Colback Giorginio Wijnaldum Forwards Papiss Cisse Yoan Gouffran Ayoze Perez Emmanuel Riviere Adam Armstrong Aleksander Mitrovic
  16. Aye, its why I went airbnb. 3 nights and KLM flights for about just under 600 quid for two of us. She can chip in once we are there, I'm not made of money.
  17. Steve Watson. He did that front flip throw in about twice, then packed it in. Prick.
  18. I have only been for a stag do before so I imagine this will be a bit more sedate. Its generally a mint city though with loads to do apart from the obvious.
  19. I just booked a weekend in Amsterdam for our lasses birthday. Mainly cos I couldn't think of fuck all else to get her. Used airbnb, used it in Paris and Copenhagen before and its class.
  20. Aye you are right, lets peddle him. We can look forward to more Colback in midfield and if Janmaat gets injured we can look forward to Bigirimana at right back. A treat.
  21. My heart goes out to you, but great outlook. My brother had similar at 30, a bleed on the brain. Massive brain damage, completely paralysed, cant talk, feed himself or go to the loo alone. It is heartbreaking to put your older brother in the lift and stand there while he uses the loo, but as far as brothers go I got lucky, I love him to bits and would do anything for him. He was a little overweight but nothing mental, went out on a friday but didn't drink otherwise, never smoked. I would urge all of you to get your blood pressure checked and seek help if necessary as this was the apparent cause. All the best trooper.
