Yeah I'm not trying to sell it mate. There is good and bad everywhere but I love it here and if anyone mentions thinking about moving here I will recommend it.

Manchester is a class city, loads to do if you want but not such an arse on to get around as London, plus cheaper. There is also lots of jobs and a load of investment in and around the city centre. Within an hour you can be in the dales, the lakes and Liverpool is only 40 mins away. You can be back home in the NE in 2 hour as well. I've lived all over but I reckon I will stay here the longest.

When we lived in London we paid £1300 a month for a one bed flat, so it's still miles cheaper. Renting for one more year to get my finances sorted before we buy, our lass worked freelance all last year so I basically supported us both, so the extra time is sorely needed.

We do loads of our graft around Worsley/Salford generally

Not sure if you know the area at all but it's really nice, bit yummy mummy on school runs and that but still has enough going on.

I live in the northern quarter of Manchester but am looking to move out to Didsbury or Chorlton.

Took a week off so I could view some flats. Without exception they have been fucking rank. Seeing places upto £1000 a month so it's not like they are cheap and they have fucking carpeted downstairs bathrooms and kitchens straight out of my dead nana's 80's assisted living place. Who the fuck is going to see these places and thinking, aye I can deal with living in squalor and paying loads for it. One place was advertised as double glazed, and it just wasn't, at all. I mentioned it to the fucking chancer agent and he muttered the immortal words, "well it's nearly spring". Get fucked you spotty oik, I didn't ask what season it was. I left.

When someone does that a full on stumble for 3 steps then stacks it into the ground, arms full length forwards. Also cocky young kids doing wheelys on bikes and stacking it. Falling over basically.

I love watching non league football. It's played in shite conditions for the right reasons. When I live in the NE Whitby were my non league team, after I stopped playing. Since I've moved to Manchester I've been to Salford city a fair few times and FC United but many Stalybridge. I can totally se why people aren't arsed mind, life is hectic enough. I just like watching football.

She got through the operation. Had excess tissue removed from her soft palate and larynx and had her nostrils widened. They are keeping her in due to risk of bleeding and the vet is calling back at 6 with an update. Thank fuck!

Cheers both. They are doing the op now so, just sitting about like a prick waiting for a call.

Sorry for whinging on about it but the puppy is in the vets tonight. She is having an operation on her soft palate tomorrow morning which "will" help with her general breathing issues and her pneumonia. Problem is that they aren't sure how she will react to the anaesthetic what with having a 4mm windpipe and still having the pneumonia, got really upset leaving her tonight. Only had her 5 months and despite being a costly nightmare, it wouldn't be the same in our house without her. Fingers crossed!
