Ben Arfa needs defending because players like him are why I (and I imagine most of us) fell in love with football. The ability to beat a man and score a wonder goal were the dreams I had as a kid, not being a winger who works hard defensively. When you were kids and called players names out when playing with your mates, mine were (old) Ronaldo, Baggio etc. Not Deshamps or Costacurta.

The Utter Beige v Colback's Used Nickleback Tampax Suckers
strawb replied to sammynb's topic in Newcastle Forum
Thought we completely bossed the first half but missed a couple of decent chances. They bossed the second and missed a couple of decent chances. Seems a decent and fair draw to me, away, at one of the better teams in the league. -

Looks like Villa are going with 3 at the back so it makes a kind of sense not to play a big man with 2 other defenders to mop any knock downs up. Puts a lot of pressure on controlling the game and having midfield runners mind. -
Well octoberfest was mint, Munich is a nice place generally but a bit clean cut for my tastes. I wouldn't take your lass there though, my head was on a swivel all week. On a detox forever now mind, was like that scene from Trainspotting when I got home last night.

So many people wearing them, the worst are the ironic English hipsters. Don't do it to yourself.

First day done. Munich has treated us well. Chez, great recommendation! We fucked the festival off today, was full of old men. Found some chemical enhancements and had a right ball around central Munich. Going festival tomorrow at 10am, probably bored and back on it by 11/12. Great city, lovely people and the beer wenches do not disappoint!

The short shorts and leather loafers with white socks is a solid look.

Moussa Sissoko signs for Spurs for like £30m or WatEVA
strawb replied to Park Life's topic in Newcastle Forum
I wasn't expecting that. I'm not sure what kind of midfielder he is tbh, before he signed I heard he was an all round sort, box to box, tackle, score a few etc. When he arrived I thought he was an attacking centre midfielder. Now I have no clue. He would be perfect for a counter attacking team if his final ball was any good, is basically all I can say for him ATM.- 1745 replies

Tell your kid to blind side him with a bat. School is a fucking joke anyway, they will exclude him for 2 weeks and it sounds like he won't miss it. Give him a full on Scum style kicking, take the two weeks exclusion to revise and carry on with his life.

Did you ever read that interview with Xavi Alonso where he said tackling should be a last resort? (In no way am I defending Sissoko)- 1745 replies

They should run a parallel competition where every fucker can take whatever they want and see how they get on. Might be a few deaths but there would be some unreal times posted.

Diplomas are usually level 6 qualifications, the same as degrees. I know this because I am currently studying for one. First hand info yo.

I've never even been to Germany before but a couple of the lads coming toured there with their bands and seem to know Munich pretty well. I think we have all agreed that your approach will be best for us too.

We are there 19th - 22nd, I have heard it can be a bit of a corporate thing for some companies like. There are me and 6 radgies from Boro I grow up with going, and 1 American. The complete opposite of corporate I suppose.

Just organised briefs to sit in the away end of Bayern v Hertha Berlin while we are at Oktoberfest. This is going to be my first "lads" holiday single since I was about 19. Think there is a decent possibility I may die.

Don't you just used the wifi when you are at home?

Haha some pretty solid reviews there like, sounds like my ideal motor. Thanks all. Still gunna test drive a couple I think
-
Probably need to take one for a test drive by the sounds of it. Cheers all.
-
Cheers both. I have been looking on piston heads ant and the lower mileage ones in decent nick seem to start around 5k. I probably do maximum 70-100 miles in a standard week so it's not like I'm going to be living in it. By "old" mini I mean the old shape. Did bmw make those shape circa 2000? I drive a fucking Kia atm and hate it but I could probably get 5/6k for it so it would basically be changing my current shit heap for a car I've always wanted.
-
Anyone have any experience with the old style minis? Wanted one since I was a kid and now seems like the right time, can pick up a circa 2000 version for about 5-7k but my old man reckons they are pigs. I would be using it everyday but it's only me and the dog for the foreseeable so no kids etc. The furthest I drive is back to the NE really so mainly city miles. Is it likely to be a pain in the ring and cost me fortunes to keep running?
