There was always a lot of very strange men involved in centres or excellence and academies, I never witnessed anything but I can imagine how easy it would be with a lot of kids who are desperate to make it as professionals. Shit state of affairs mind.

Got dragged into a secret santa after being at this job for 2 months a couple of years ago. I got given a lass I had never met, was told by everyone I asked that she was a goer and loved a bit of racy stuff. Thought fuck it, I work out on site and never see any of the office ppl. Bought her some "sexy" chocolates when I was monged in Blackpool one weekend. Put them in the box and forgot about it. (I got a scarf). Thought nowt of it until the xmas party when she pulled me up about it and I had to tactfully explain that everyone said she was game as fuck. She gives me the fucking stink eye every time I see her now, the bellend.

I've been "working from home" a lot recently, but it's not too bad when you can do most of it yourself.

Starting groundworks in November man! Upstairs is done in my gaff, new boiler going in today and I can start on the kitchen. Front room will be done by the end of the week, once I fit the new French doors and brick up the old one I can do the dining room and I'm all done. Never want to see a floor joist/board/sander again mind

Been asked to help set up and manage the H&S for a charity that provides training to injured veterans. They have been given a building with some land to turn into a training centre and a workshop. They need to gut the building and rebuild it before anything else can start so it's going to be a big time pressure. I think it's a worthwhile thing to do but I'm really fucking lazy and my own house is a building site, probably end up doing anyway.

Speaking to my old man today, when he just got with my mam they took his nana out for dinner. She ordered a quiche but pronounced it quicky. General random conversation.

Boros academy is class and they regularly promote players and give them a chance. Sunderlands academy hoovered up thousands of kids then kept any they thought had a chance. Ours never got mentioned by anyone, at least when I played in the academies
