gaah extra time. Was starting to think we might nick that as well

Moving Anita to left back for Ben Arfa... so w're going all out. I guess it's unlikely we'll be humiliated now.
-
True but that's probably down to a lack of belief in Cisse. Which is another reason why Cabaye should be on - if anyone has to shoot from distance, it should be him.
-
Intruiging... to counter balance Silva maybe?
-
Oh joy, Silva's coming on...
-
Agreed, it's tough cos no one is playing badly although Cisse remains predictably quiet. Would Ben Arfa offer much...? I'd probably go Remy for Cisse/Shola.

Gouffran tracks back well, has a good work rate.

Dummett for Haidara... poor lad Haidara, crocked again presumably.

Apparently we've banned people from the singing section? Did we know that? Security are banning people even though it was apparently sold out...
-
They do have Silva on the bench... Even so, I think they came up expecting to leather us something nasty. I expected that too. Nice to see some fight. I wonder if Anita is proving to be key here, he's been active so far.

Er... City look shite.

Superb word. Both of them actually!

Pardew has just called the League Cup a priority... and we're looking to win...

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Rayvin replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
I've got nothing against Pardew really - yeah he isn't great but he at least has the decency to look embarrassed sometimes by what Ashley puts us through. Not saying we couldn't get someone better, as someone else said, he does care.- 10610 replies

The Secret Diary of Lee Ryder (aged 44 and a half)
Rayvin replied to Craig's topic in Newcastle Forum
It is actually seriously depressing that there's nothing any of us can do about this. As has been said, the smart approach would be for people to simply not turn up any more... but how do you organise that when some people are so loyal to the club that they would never entertain the idea, no matter how hard it got. Is Newcastle a PLC? A hostile takeover wouldn't really work given that Ashley is the majority shareholder, but people could buy up a stake in the club which might then reduce the cost of someone else coming in and taking it over - if enough of us did it. -
Brave tactic that, wonder if he's trying to instil a siege mentality? With that said I was expecting great things from Spurs this season and they look about the same as last year, despite the facelift.
-
Wow... that's pretty intense. Well done though.
-
Yeah fair point. Watch us do Chelsea next week now...

Was there malcontent over the 1-0 win? I'm assuming he didn't quote Tony Pulis' Steak and Chips metaphor?

I actually don't think we would have lost that if we hadn't been playing a kid making his first league start and Williamson in defence. I also think that three first choice CBs being out is extraordinarily unlucky. Yes we offered little going forward (as we all know, and have discussed at length) but we had a higher level of quality in play, even if it didn't show through as much as it should have. Yes we suck, yes we have no ambition, but Sunderland suck harder and they DO have ambition. I think... I'm not actually sure Ellis Short is all that sane sometimes, but he at least seems to care. That can only make what's happening over there all the more painful though.

Yeah so, maybe they're still as jammy as they've always been. Ah well, on the plus side Stoke losing is probably more significant for us unless we suddenly find consistency.
