Are we sure that Carver isn't getting his wires crossed? - he's spent a lot of time talking to Brian Kidd about them buying Perez, he might well think he works down there now.
-
That is a remarkable bit of propaganda. I wonder if we're going to start seeing more of this from clubs, or if it's just the Jose Mourinho effect. Might also happen at Liverpool though.
-
Just watched the highlights of the Leeds game again! Good times. We were much more devil may care those days. I guess the whole game has moved on though.
-
Awesome news. We should get a good 5-10 mins out of him before he gets injured.
-
I agree that these accounts are going to be really interesting. Do we release any kind of statement to go with them?
-
I just don't know anymore. I know what I'd do if I was Ashley but the guy is such a fucking moron that he's definitely capable of hiring Carver full time. Rationalising doesn't seem to make any difference. It has concerned me for instance that a board which has previously not said a damn thing about the stupidity of their decisions has come out and admitted they've left Carver short staffed. It also bothers me that Carver is totally happy to talk about selling on players like Perez and is having conversations with Man City about it as if hawking the players is part of his job. Why would they let him do that? If he's hired though, I'm done.

Good God man... you're insatiable!

Still sounds pretty good. I'm off at 4 at least, plus our CEO is away tomorrow so I might do fuck all. Expect to see me on here a bit.
-
Nice subject change. But yes, I'm really excited too - slightly concerned that the whole business is going to stop working tomorrow though, in order to watch it. Which wouldn't bother me at all except that it's my responsibility to make them work Also now jealous that you can watch the eclipse and then go have a curry...

Not a post I was expecting to see at the top of the page...

He's not done enough to go for that much though... At the end of the day what are we likely to get for him now? £6mil? £7m? If we were actually fucking playing him he might be worth twice that.
-
That is a fucking awesome riposte
-
Can you explain this bit more? I'm interested as to how this will be achieved and what will follow (genuinely)?
-
Ah good point - and I guess things have fallen apart for West Ham since earlier this year...
-
Just checked rtg and they seem to be wanting Allardyce. I didn't realise things were that bad... although I don't think he'd leave West Ham for them.
-
I feel like there should be a 'Catts fer me like' knocking around here. I could just about see it happening too...
-
He's going to get a freak win from somewhere man. We'll have collapsed lung back at some point anyway, and who knows, he might turn out to be some kind of spark for the team.
-
He'll probably try to sell I suppose but honestly, we're not going to get relegated so we may as well resign ourselves to another season of PL garbage.
-
Who are they actually going to get in though? Even Tim Sherwood is employed now, there's hardly anyone left! Did Wigan get Mackay in the end? Even the racists are taken ffs. They're not going to get someone continental with the players they have.
-
Same for me. Checked the score yesterday but felt absolutely nothing. I'm sure we're not the only club this is happening to though - while Ashley is definitely the main catalyst here, the truth is that the league is now sown up by the superclubs anyway. It's not like it'd make any difference if Ashley actually was attempting to push us up the league. We'd probably win more games, we'd probably have a better brand of football...but what's the point if we're never actually going to get anywhere near winning anything. Sometimes I think it'd be better to support a team in the lower leagues as at least fans of those clubs are able to enjoy the highs.

You called it.
