They were relegated when we drew with West Brom, which happened simultaneously.

I think it'll be more like 3-0, but I agree with the sentiment there. Try to have a little optimism though... Lets hope Van Gaals kids are better than Hull's seasoned and desperate team.

It's just another example of this 'know thy place' bullshit that gets thrown at us by fans of other clubs. Hopefully the relaxing of FFP will allow someone to come in soon and fix this.
-
Only because the wider public are too stupid to understand what happened. How is mass stupidity any sort of basis for policy?
-
It's especially frustrating when you consider that they don't have to live with the consequences of their votes for as long as we do...

Question?

Agree with Fish on Abeid and Cabella. If we had anything approaching a halfway decent coaching structure we'd get a lot more out of these players.
-
This is starting to get a little unsettling...

I think that says absolutely everything you need to know about the older generation...

Your vigilance is actually very impressive...

Agreed, can't see Janmaat sticking around if we go down. It's a shame this as there's a few players at our club who could be decent if they weren't managed in such a horrendous way. I'm not exactly sympathetic to the players in this mess, but given the utter clusterfuck going on above them, I think a loss of motivation is understandable. Especially if they've been informed that Carver is getting the job permanently.

So we're essentially looking at buying a whole new team based on this article. I mean, we need one, but the chances of us pulling a Southampton out of the bag here and managing to do this in a competent fashion are slim to none.

I'm gonna miss Jonas when he's gone. Not so much as a player now, as we should have better really, but as the one likeable member of our team.
-
Liverpool aren't great, mind. I take your point of course but without Sterling they're going to be looking rank average next year.
-
WTF To be fair, as bad as those are, @yourservice's Carver/Ashley combo was quite possibly the most horrendous thing I've ever seen.

The Spartan proving grounds was a good analogy...

Ah Liverpool...

I think they're doing well cos they operate on a national level as opposed to many other (all?) taxi firms which are strictly local. So, if I go to London, I might not know any taxi companies there - but I do know Uber. Also CT, there's nothing we can really do about their tax situation while the government is as it is. If only we had a progressive government which might clamp down on this sort of thing...

Mako, have you considered that Ashley just doesn't care? As long as we're not losing him money, he may genuinely not give a toss.

And there's the second most disturbing thing I've seen on this forum...all in one day!

Newcastle United vs Fat Sam's Bubble Blowers 24/5/15
Rayvin replied to Haydnator's topic in Newcastle Forum
That would be superb. If it wasn't for the fact that I just can't see us beating WHam, I'd probably go in on that. -
I suppose - it's just that the top 5 are all in perfect order. I guess that sort of supports the idea that the top clubs have managed a lot of the unpredictability out of the game. You'd probably need a wider sample of leagues to see how well it stacks up though, could be random.
