Fucking hell... We won a game. Much as finishing in the PL is great, I really hope it's not just more of the same next year... -
Absolute fucking legend. I'll being telling my grandkids about the nufc player who had more stones in a single bollock than the rest of our team combined. To think we're just going to cast him aside...

West Ham don't look massively arsed here, if I'm honest. Could just be waiting for us to tire though, I suppose. -

True. It took until the day of possible relegation for that to happen, but true. -

Yep, me too in truth; but not everyone on here sees the positives of relegation and I think it'll be easiest for all concerned on that front to go into this with very little hope. This is not a club that rewards the hopeful. -

I think it might be easiest to just accept that we're going down and consider that anything else is a bonus. -
Agreed - if they got trending on twitter it might make a difference. This isn't how it should happen though, it shouldn't be down to corporate pressure that FIFA and the FA pull the plug on this shit, it should be a decision taken as a group of human beings. It's utterly appalling.

The relegation itself? No. Performing poorly enough to actually get relegated? That probably does.

Can't say I hold out much hope for the sit in.. the media's cameras will move on as soon as the game ends, so who are we really visible to? -
But does your acknowledgement of a general increase mitigating the difference not mean that there is at least an opportunity cost, even if it's not realised in an actual salary decrease? For instance, if these players had been preforming to a higher level, and had not been relegated, then they would have been able to secure higher wages than they could move to if the club went bust. Otherwise, I suppose I understand the balance of the rest of the point...but then, even if a player can choose another PL club, it's not like Tiote is going to be able to get his move to Arsenal, or that PSG are going to come calling for Sissoko - they're more likely to get picked up by Stoke now. It does have an effect.
-
Aren't there actual guidelines on that? Presumably whoever decided which league FC United of Manchester started in.

She might have been, you never know.

That's Boba Fett rather than a storm trooper mind, whoever named that gif needs shooting.
