Mad Max: Fury Road Absolutely the best film I've seen this year. Utterly fucking awesome. Yes, I'm uncultured - I can't help loving films like this though!

Mako, have you tried not vociferously rejecting the ideas of everyone who takes up a topic for discussion with you? If you gave a little ground, tried to understand the other side of the argument and acknowledged the point, even if you continue to disagree with it, you'd likely get some reciprocal traction on your own ideas. Almost every thread has become a shit slinging contest between you and another miscellaneous member of the board. </Kissinger>

Two for one insult.

Ah ok, well then yes. Although he'll not be drawing up shortlists or anything like that. If Charnley's the one doing that, then he's actually the one in the position to influence the outcome. On transfer strategy, I agree. I think you could interpret his comments as him saying as much anyway; he makes sure that the club is maximising it's financial prospects (allegedly), while Charnley (God help us) ensures we perform. Either way, maybe this whole sorry affair has got under his skin at least - I doubt he'll allow us to come this close to the abyss again...and it doesn't sound like relegation is going to get rid of him...

You think so...? I sometimes wonder where he'd find the time to be honest, given that we're not his only focus. It makes sense that a lot of the stuff that goes on would have to be at the door of people he can delegate to.

Agree that Charnley needs to go. It sounds as though Ashley has no say at all on the football matters, just the financials. As such, this shitstorm is at Charnley's door, really.

@ the whole thread so far. @ - I reckon that given Carver gave Ashley an 'ultimatum', it'll have to be wrapped up pretty soon. It's not going to be Carver though, that much is clear.

Fucking hell... We won a game. Much as finishing in the PL is great, I really hope it's not just more of the same next year... -
Absolute fucking legend. I'll being telling my grandkids about the nufc player who had more stones in a single bollock than the rest of our team combined. To think we're just going to cast him aside...

West Ham don't look massively arsed here, if I'm honest. Could just be waiting for us to tire though, I suppose. -

True. It took until the day of possible relegation for that to happen, but true. -

Yep, me too in truth; but not everyone on here sees the positives of relegation and I think it'll be easiest for all concerned on that front to go into this with very little hope. This is not a club that rewards the hopeful. -

I think it might be easiest to just accept that we're going down and consider that anything else is a bonus. -
Agreed - if they got trending on twitter it might make a difference. This isn't how it should happen though, it shouldn't be down to corporate pressure that FIFA and the FA pull the plug on this shit, it should be a decision taken as a group of human beings. It's utterly appalling.
