So we've so far signed precisely no one and are arsing around on transfers as usual. This brave new 'post-austerity' club management philosophy looks an awful lot like the previous one...
-
Would fully agree with that to be honest.

Steve McClaren sacked as Newcastle United 'Head Coach' (Manager)

I'm prepared to back McClaren but I reckon we'll be ending next year with the same sorts of issues we had with Pardew... -
I guess if that is it, it can only work so many times...right?
-
Such an insensitive thing to say given the circumstances...

Are we seriously collectively on board with this appointment...? -
Agreed, and good luck to him. Impossible to hate the guy even if he has signed for Liverpool...
-
What a waste... Hard thing to break out of though.

Did someone refer to Manure as United...?

I have this feeling that hiring Carver for 6 months is to manager recruitment what changing the name of the stadium was to sponsor choice. Ashley renamed the stadium so that we'd all warm to whichever sponsor switched it the fuck back. Same with Carver. I would have been seriously dissatisfied with McClaren in January but am now much more prepared to have him on board. I still think it's a shit appointment when there are plenty of better managers out there, but it's better than Carver...

But what if the Dutch had been chosen?
-
that is good. I'm guessing that's not The Fish's.

CT, are you his agent?
-
I checked his stats out on FM..actually not bad! I expect Dave to give him his seal of approval any moment now.

Art galleries are what I look for when I'm considering a job in a new city, mind. That said, we do have some...

They'll get them in their droves from China and Russia though. Blatter's probably counting on being dead by the time this insanity happens.

I suppose part of the thinking here is his experience to date will be working with a team of players, the make up of which he has little/no say in, and developing them into better performers. All of that actually makes sense for the board's philosophy. But he's totally unproven, which worries me.

Does Vieira have any experience to speak of in this respect...?
-
Ah here we go...
-
sigh...

Fucking hell, that's Townsend?!
