There's a 'blood moon' out tonight guys, just in case any of you are avid photographers/eschatologists.
-
Fucking hell, I just watched them Only Ayoze as well...
-
I bought this too - was staying up late reading it last night It's staggering to read about how different the make up of the team and club was back then. How on earth it went from that to this is really beyond me.

Generic small time football blather thread 2015/16
Rayvin replied to The Fish's topic in Newcastle Forum
It is, but I don't know if I agree with it. We manage to bring in actually quite decent players, it's just that we don't coach them properly. It's not like we're fielding a side full of the same kinds of cloggers as Sunderland. Also, if you compare the northern teams with the southern ones it's about equal. City, Man Utd and Liverpool all more or less cancel out Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs. Everton and Newcastle (if we get our shit together, this is where we really should be) on paper are more or less counter balancing Southampton and Swansea. Sure you've then got Palace and West Ham but for me they're both still 'flash in the pan' kind of teams, it remains to be seen if they can keep it up over a longer period. I don't think much has changed really except that we're having a shit period despite the relative quality of our squad, and that WHam and Palace are going through decent patches in our absence. -
What the shit happened to City yesterday...? Also good to see Sunderland falling to absolute bottom rather than sharing it with us.
-
I think the reality is that we're going to have to suspend judgment until a couple of games following the City game, these matches against the heavyweights aren't telling us much.
-
So are we to assume that Mitro is fundamental to the way McClaren wants to play? Meaning that we essentially have no plan B, but that actually, we may have a decent plan A. I suppose Plan B might materialise in January with the signing of Austin. Either way, despite throwing 2 points away, it's nice to feel like we're actually not as bad as it looked earlier in the week.

The whole sport has gone to shit though, it's not just us at least.

CT has now apparently moved on to self parody...

God that's both wonderful and painful, just remembering what it used to be. FFS. In truth, there's no team in the country that can hold a candle to what that team used to represent. I don't think that kind of city wide will passion exists anymore, anywhere.
-
Just wait till HMHM sees that...

We actually played reasonably well in a few games prior to mitrovic's suspension, which is the only thing offering any semblance of positivity here. Maybe the team shape will somehow work better when he's back. Other than that, they look shot of confidence in my opinion...

Straight from the comedy twitter account presumably...

Holy fuck @ Lewindowski...

If he has, he's probably going to be proven right.

Love the running commentary on here...

Which youtube subscriptions would you recommend?

True Geordie, surely. -
Thanks for this...tossers

True - I didn't mean you in truth, it was more in reference to LM calling Gemmill out for some kind of arse kicking. I've seen a lot of people get worked up about very little on here, mind. I dunno, I just wonder if it's worth it.

I don't get how all of this sort of thing becomes such a big deal... Why does anyone really care what anyone else says on these forums? I mean, clearly not everyone does, but still, enough do that it makes me wonder. Anyone getting angry about something over the internet is wasting their life.

I don't think this line got the credit it deserves.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Rayvin replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think this is probably right, but I suspect only because most of the players would have been used to Pardew's systems. McClaren is still coming up with his, after all.- 10610 replies

Japan apparently winning against all odds yesterday against South Africa with a try in the final 10 seconds. I don't follow the sport but you've got to love the passion and emotion of that team. Sounds like the rugby equivalent of Luxembourg beating Germany in the last kick of the game.
