  1. Omitting CT's predicted scoreline which was submitted through a mechanism other than the forum-wide agreed method is one of the great humanitarian crises of our time. At least that's how it's coming across.
  2. Ah I see you did - my bad. Must have skimmed that bit
  3. Fucking hell man, at least pre-warn people that you don't have an answer
  4. He looks pretty fucking good based on that!
  5. Heh, yeah. Can you imagine trying to exist on the same planet as Pardew if he won an international tournament? We'd have to abandon the planet and relocate to his head instead. I don't understand why we didn't just get a foreign manager really, it's not like BSA is going to build anything even vaguely remarkable.
  6. I guess so. I think I'd rate Pardew a step higher than Bruce and Allardyce though. Just.
  7. I always took the view that it displayed what the player's actual value was, rather than what a club might sell him for. I appreciate that the latter is actually the true 'value' but at the same time I think it's worth having an understanding of what a player is actually worth based on other (presumably objective) measures. Sissoko is on at £11m which is probably what he's actually worth in fairness. What we're prepared to sell him for is clearly a lot higher than that though. I see what you're saying though.
  8. Transfermarkt has him at just over £2m. For a 27 year old that's not a big fee... I suspect we'd actually pay about £4m though.
  9. Aye I'd taken McCarthy no bother. Hopefully it's going to be a useful few days for transfers. We're definitely carrying on like the Man City of the Champ'ship with some of these names though.
  10. How does he pass a medical when injured, exactly? I thought clubs rarely overrulled such things...
  11. You reckon? I'm struggling to think why they would choose BSA over Pardew though...
  12. So you're running an elaborate research project that you're going to use to bat CT over the head with for his lack of consistency in arguments. That's superb.
  13. Aye but it sounds as though we were making a concerted effort for this guy - the fact that Sporting have come in is just one of those things, really. Had they not, I'm sure we'd have persisted in tying him up.
  14. I guess if HF okays it then sure. Seems fair at least. Or are you administering this? I've lost track of who has ultimate ownership of it
  15. He really should have taken the England job - it would have meant that he'd survive a few more years at the top, since he would have left Palace before anyone could be categorically certain that he's shit - and England is a poisoned chalice as we all know; failing there would have just been par for the course. I wonder if he'll ever get a better chance.
  16. Just caught up with some of this Calling for the manager to be sacked after two games has to be some kind of record, surely? Granted there's a decent number of posters who seem to have called the culprits out for their idiocy, but it makes a mockery of most of the things they try to throw at us. Imagine if they lose their third game in a row...
  17. How radically would the change alter the scoring mechanism? Also, how aggravated would it make CT?
  18. I can't better any of those answers. So what is it?
  19. Terry's about 34 or something now, isn't he? So by the time we're next at a tournament he'll be pushing 37. He could barely run even in his prime ffs. At 37 he'll be getting about with a zimmer frame.
  20. Looks like we were seriously pursuing it this time though - a shame if it doesn't come off. I wonder what the derailing factor was in the end. Hard to imagine it's the fact we were in the Champ'ship or we wouldn't have gotten as far through the process as we did. Could just be that someone else has come in for him.
  21. One for each. I do think you'll have some success with this but it could also depend on the style of play we adopt. If we're cavalier and attacking then it'll probably not be so successful. If we keep it tight I think you'll win
