It seems they managed to get that journalist kicked off the Echo... 'Deplorable' doesn't do it justice.
-
It's the principle though. The whole country was leveraged against saving the banks and ensuring London remained the financial centre of the world. Anything we do here to make it more difficult for our banks will mean that this privileged status will end. Yes they'll be able to continue trading - although I do wonder how long it will take them to just decide that they'd be better off overseas anyway.
-
Are defenders just better these days? Also, I wonder how much tiki-taka is responsible for this. I don't think that's a style of play that benefits the traditional striker really.
-
Seriously think the whole political class should be disbanded and we should just start again. This is just too important to leave to these utter clowns, on all sides.
-
Surely there's just no way Theresa May is going to do that? I have no great love of bankers but what we're talking about here would be devastating to an industry that we've just spent the last 8 years in austerity to try and save ffs.
-
Aye, this is the era of attacking midfielders, shadow strikers, false 9s and Raumdauters. Many of the traditional strikers have been killed off and replaced by people like Ozil.

Colossal Collection of Cunterheads v Wolves - Sat 17 Sept @ 3pm

Why not just vote now and change your mind later if you get the chance? For the next one this is. -
I used to play it for a few years after its release mind as we weren't well to do enough to upgrade every year I remember spending ages trying to get Batistuta to sign for us but he'd never join the miserable bastard. Serie A was a much more powerful league back then like.

Fair play to the Russians here like; good point, well made

Ah you mean HF killed the poll before you voted? He was a bit earlier than usual but in his defence he did ask if anyone else could do it. Unlucky! -
That's it for Portman - she'll be labelled problematic, a gender traitor, and then no-platformed to infinite

CT, why didn't you just add your choice to the poll? I don't understand why that's not the solution to your vote not being counted Is it not possible to do it through tapatalk or something? -
I've never pretended to be anything other than a massive dork

I'll agree with that if she continues with this trajectory into the next film. If she remains invincible then yes, she'll become a forgettable character.
-
Not sure I agree on the cannon bit, but I can see it from your side. I'm just now wishing I had spent my youth understanding deeper plot points in franchises that weren't going to rewrite their history. I really should have just spent my youth outside to be honest

Just finished Stranger Things. Really enjoyed it - I normally find child actors really annoying but most of them in this were really solid in their roles. Will look forward to season 2.
-
Also true! Maybe I'll come around to it. Hopefully the follow up ones are a bit more balanced between Ren and Rey though.
-
I remember playing Championship Manager '95 waaaaay back in the day and signing him for Newcastle when he was like 19 or 20. Unbeatable team with who we had at that point anyway He cost £20m because the game wouldn't let you spend any more than that. His wages were £20,000 per week because that was the limit too. We've come a long fucking way from there.
-
Yeah I have to concede that she had used her stick thing quite a bit before having a lightsaber, so I suppose that makes it more readily agreeable. I just don't think physical training should be aligned with force using as such. Then again, maybe Ren is just a super weak force user. Aside from all the Rey vs Ren stuff, they never should have taken his helmet off. He lost all gravitas when they did that.

Actually just read that the concept is a creche for allowing mothers to become involved in Momentum. Sort of like Sunday School. It all depends on whether or not the 'Momentum Sunday School' is preaching or if they're just looking after them, IMO. If the latter, then this is actually a good thing for helping mothers to be politically engaged.

Just been on to a Spurs forum and tbf they seem to be pretty happy with what they saw. Some excuses being made for him not being up to speed with the rest of the team yet, which they think is normal given he's only been there for a short time, but generally all positive. I guess that's how we were at first too though, so it'll probably take time for them to end up with the same opinion of him as we do.
-
I genuinely think that's possible you know. We should spend the next year following their downfall claiming that it was us who relegated them since we robbed them of six points. That's the kind of logic they're using anyway.

This would be a big concern for me actually - political organisations shouldn't be responsible for teaching politics to young people. It should be the job of schools to provide as impartial a view as possible. Very uncomfortable with the idea that young people will be introduced to and then brought up within one ideology's echo chamber. It's religion-esque.
