  1. Thats a good shout for Peter. I assumed it would just be a write up of the games. It sounds like absolute drivel.
  2. It's Monday morning, I'm tired. I think I started writing that, lost interest, tried to soldier on and then came up with that.
  3. Depends if you considering tweeting about it to be the same as actually releasing it. Wikileaks has presumably released the files overnight or something.
  4. In fairness I've seen a good number come out and say that they didn't want mourinho when he was signed. I think they've had it now. Too large and bloated, not competitive enough, full of malaise. They needed to let the Fergie era die and then approach the next step. Attempting to sustain it has seen them crawl on without achieving anything. Just drawing out the inevitable.
  5. And the other half are accountants.
  6. Aye, noticed that. He's the record holder for the league now. Approaching a full season worth of games started without winning any of them.

  8. On paper Villa should threaten. I know we run them down a lot but they're good enough to challenge for playoffs IMO if they sort themselves out. That said, they're not exactly playing convincingly even if they have won a couple. I genuinely think Norwich could miss an auto slot, they're mentally weak and keep throwing points away.
  9. Why do you think Sheff Wed are going to pull ahead of some of the other contenders?
  10. McCarthy's post match comments - I have some respect for him but fucking hell he's dour as fuck. "We were beaten by the best team. If you see a better team than that this year I'd be surprised. "I've just spoken to the players and there's not a lot more we could have done. We tried everything to stop them. The one pleasing thing is we kept it at 1-0 for 70 minutes. "All three finishes were fabulous. They were better than us, they are better than us, and they will be champions in my view. "We tried everything and nothing worked. They are a very good team and we got what we deserved. We tried to press but we didn't do that particularly well."
  11. Curious as to which teams people think are likely to be pushing us. Norwich are probably most people's guess but they don't look much less shaky than either Huddersfield or Brighton. Villa have also now won a couple on the trot, and while they're a long way from being a problem, I think they'll be resurgent from here. The pessimist in me thinks we've overdue for a defeat soon which will see us sink back into the chasing pack again, but I reckon if we can keep our run going for another 5 games or so, we'll not be caught. I actually think that if we ended up in second place, I'd be genuinely disappointed.
  12. Excellent day of football We win, I got the prediction right, Sunderland lost and Norwich lost.
  13. Who are these people that can spend their entire Saturday afternoon, lunch to evening, uninterrupted by life?
  14. Quality would be a factor. Look, I stream and I'd be prepared to pay for single one off matches, rather than stream, is all I'm saying. Maybe I'm an extreme minority of people for whom convenience is more important that price though.
  15. Of course, but they're not going to get me tied down to a contract, so why not make the extra? I do appreciate ewerk's point but all they'd have to do is find the sweet spot in terms of pricing to make sure that anyone who wanted to watch regular football was far better off getting the subscription.
  16. Has Sky got it set up so that you can pay on a match by match basis yet? I always thought that they lost out there. People like me would happily pay 5 or 6 quid to watch a match in full quality, but I'm sure as shit not going to subscribe to the network just to occasionally watch us play.
  17. Re-living the Nosferatu in drag post
  18. Ever since I was quite young, that's what I thought about the LDs. Just splitting the left wing vote. What I don't think they realised when they had their brief stay in power is that their support was coming from the left as much as it was the centre. They were the trendy alternative for students. But of course you're right, all it serves to do is prop up the Tories.
  19. I've just read that the another seat up for by-election was vacated by a Labour chap who quit after biting some kid's nose Can't imagine that being a vote winner.
  20. I imagine it'll be along the lines of how they won by-elections elsewhere? A shame though, although at least it went to the Liberals rather than the Tories. Maybe because of the EU solution they're proposing.
