Newcastle United v Birmingham City - POLL RESTARTED
Rayvin replied to wykikitoon's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye, that got changed. Sorry mate. -
Me too tbf, I'm trying to persuade myself I don't care though.
-
After the heart break of the League Cup I mostly just want us to get promoted. We can go for cups next year... the big clubs still take the FA Cup seriously enough to play for it so a win here seems unlikely. That said, we should put Birmingham away.
-
There's also the bayonet charge.

Not blaming them per se, just noticing that previously we had wall to wall anti-Corbyn coverage, and now nothing. And I mean the Guardian anyway, not the rest of them. No idea how any of the others portray him but I imagine it isn't favourably. I've agreed that Corbyn isn't doing a good job of getting his message across, surely you'd permit me an opportunity to actually look into it?
-
Yep, it's a shame actually that Corbyn isn't leadership material. He's demonstrated the policies that a lot of people want and will vote for, but has an inability (seemingly) to execute or even really publicise these. That said, he's experiencing a media shutout IMO, so it's difficult to put the blame on him. The Guardian for instance barely picks him up on anything at all. I can't imagine this is because he isn't saying things. I'll look into it I guess, it'd be useful to know.
-
Yep, even I'd agree with this line of reasoning, the more we see it. It's a shame but there we go. I expect he'll realise it sooner rather than later though, and will likely step aside.
-
Starting to agree with you but hope springs eternal and all that.

I thought the Lib Dems were going to swoop in and save the day though? That's what I've been reading over the past week anyway. I'm rather disappointed by that Labour position I have to say, but maybe the view is that they shouldn't reveal their hand before the Tories have done so. They'll have set this out with one eye on the working classes and the other on the middle classes. They're in a tough position generally.
-
That's pretty good actually. I might post it to fb later like the hipster I am.
-
True - he seems incredibly sensitive to criticism. I suspect that's a characteristic that he shares with quite a large number of dictators actually, so we'll likely see the necessity of the American constitution come into play quite a bit throughout his Presidency.

I'm struggling not to enjoy this narrative. China need to be put in their box over Taiwan and it's nice to see someone effectively give them the finger. That said, from a humanitarian pov, China is definitely batshit crazy enough to go to war over Taiwan.

Thanks, and happy birthday Stevie!

At least Brighton did us a favour. If this week is as bad as it gets and we're still top, we're doing alright.

I was on for a couple of hours after the match last night... didn't see either of you.
-
Yep, that's not your fault. But you are responsible for representing your club and for making your fan base look small time as fuck with your previous post. Other than Lansbury being a prat, I don't think anyone has said a bad word about the rest of the Forest team, save for some surprise that we only lost 2-1, that we held on to the end with 9 men, and that you weren't more industrious.

Cheers Noelie. Interesting to know.
