We have to move the money across periodically anyway as most of our sales come in USD (so we need to bring it over as operating capital). Just thought it was curious that it was such a large amount this time... no longer curious. EDIT - Ah I get it now, the forecast is for next year. Hence 'forecast'. I guess the other assumption I had at the time must be the one that's playing out then. Dividends must be due.

I'm kicking myself for not buying dollars before Brexit. I was talking to one of our finance guys about it the day before and discussing how losing £100 or so in transaction fees wouldn't have been the end of the world... I'll know for the next world changing event, I guess.

Yes, middle England and now the Working Class. Why do we even bother. As a caveat to this though - I've heard Tories argue that the debt is rising because of interest and that the Tories have been working on reducing the deficit. Is that true? That would give them some justification here and would suggest that austerity hasn't been entirely for nothing.

I think they'll sack him if it looks like it does now coming into the final third of the season. It's tried and tested for them as a way of getting out of it.

I was just checking a Spurs forum on Sissoko over lunch, and he's setting fan against fan over there. Some trying to be the voice of reason and claiming that he had no pre-season, his attitude is right, it'll just take time, Pochettino must have seen something, etc... and the others who are frothing about how much money he cost, how useless he seems, how useless he was for us, and how he's a 'Woolwich' fan. They're 100% the mackems of London.

No chance, surely. The press would have a fucking field day. The best chance he'd have is to submit everything to democrat judges in the hope of looking impartial. I simply can't imagine that he would be able to get away with corruption on the scale that we're talking Surely not even in the US.

I think the porn thing might garner an outrage when it actually happens. Or people will migrate to TOR. The problem is, that just makes things more dodgy... Ultimately, we can't mobilise in defense of porn because our wives will leave us. I seriously think that's a factor here.

I think he's going to have to be very careful. He's not in office yet so all of this stuff we're seeing presently doesn't matter too much IMO, but as soon as he is, that's that.

Yeah was £28m I think? Levy seems really good at extracting the maximum possible out of other clubs when it comes to selling their players, but he's shocking when it comes to purchases. Although that's probably more on their scouting team than anyone else. -
I think we can assume that this year should be all sunshine and roses, it'll be establishing ourselves in the PL where it'll get grim again.
