Can you at least see where he's trying to position himself though? To be fair to him, his resistance to being portrayed as 'wanting to stay in the EU' appears to be because he knew how toxic that would look to vast swathes of people. That said, if he wanted out he should have just come out and said it. That would have been the way to maximize his credibility with the working class.

Ah, banned for speaking the truth. Sounds about right.
-
Possibly but will he want to go from where he is to the championship?
-
Sorry, I'm used to commenting on the guardian where caveats like that are fundamental.

Yeah but we won't be the only ones thinking that. Every club from 12th down in the PL will be after him too.

He did spend a lot less tbf to him Not that the man child point doesn't stand.

FFS, is everyone on here except me an accountant of some sort? Is the world not oversubscribed with accountants?
-
Not sure about that one... he's ok but do we need him and could we get better next year?
-
Definitely not for a 5 year old IMO. I can see why your mate said that having seen it now. Go see it yourself first, at least.

Until we leave the EU, then we're all sorted on the issue of violating the rights of our citizenry.

Also and unrelated - Vader is Alt-Jedi: http://newsthump.com/2016/12/20/im-not-sith-im-alt-jedi-clarifies-darth-vader/

That actually sounds very probable.

The Guardian has done a promotional article on Newcastle and some of our local arts/restaurants/drinking/music scenes. I noticed Cal's Own was in there https://www.theguardian.com/travel/2016/dec/21/alternative-city-guide-newcastle-food-drink-bars-clubs-culture

For what?

Rogue One was, mercifully, a good film. Felt much more like 'Starwars' than TFA did. I now have some hope for the franchise again. Would probably give it 8.5/10

If Shelvey's claim was that the exchange never took place, then he wouldn't be able to bring that accusation. We probably would have had to raise it at the time anyway.

I absolutely do blame Cameron for this tbf. For the referendum, for austerity, for all of it. He is the personification of side of the establishment that brought us here.
-
Who do you blame? The people in power or the people who they failed? It's a tough one...
-
You joke but I am resolute in my belief that the establishment did indeed deliver us those things
-
I get what you're saying now yeah. And yeah, I know what you mean but if he'd lamped Shelvey he'd have been facing a hefty ban himself...

Yeah but being bald isn't the same as racism I guess. Racism is probably a more serious category of division than...hairism?

True, but it would see us into January and potential transfers to cover the issue. Although a 5 game ban seems to be a fairly trivial reason to buy someone, especially given that we're not actually imperilled in the auto-promotion stakes.

I half think that he had his previous red rescinded so that they could appear impartial for this one. At the end of the day, if he said something racist or whatever the claim is, he should be suspended for it. We're good enough to manage without him IMO. That said, does the 7 day appeal period mean he can play in our next game?

You could argue Chelsea won the CL that way too. Probably about right.
