I hope you're right - and I can see it you know, that this could be a misstep. But everything we've seen in politics in the past year or so suggests that every time the chance comes up, Turkeys vote for Christmas.

But from who? Who are they taking these seats from? If this is a single issue election, as it will inevitably become, who wakes up in a Labour or Lib Dem seat and says 'you know what, I'm going to vote for May'. At least that's how it should go. In reality, people are fucking stupid so you're probably right.

Saving the country is no incentive? If it came down to a choice between keeping us in the EU in some form (which is what they've been campaigning on) and 'avoiding being tarnished by Corbyn' I think I know which way they'd go. Since they'd be betraying their voters otherwise.

The Lib Dems lost 27 seats to the Tories last time. Surely those 27 seats are coming right back.

At the same time, May isn't exactly a formidable thinker. Two things I was just mulling over: 1 - The Lib Dems were kicked to fuck in the last election. I would imagine all will be forgiven now. Who did they primarily lose seats to? Surely the people who voted away from them last time will go back to them this time. 2 - The working class won't abandon Labour for the Tories. So where do the Tories pick up their majority from? I could see UKIP picking up seats, but the Tories?

UKIP's statement makes it sound like they didn't want this.

It's not a perfect tactical play though, there is risk to May. If they make it a single issue election (as it seems to be) she's counting presumably on being able to carry a majority without worrying about the other parties. But if they all pool their ideas and contest this almost as one, she'd have a problem on her hands.

I think that's the lesson to be learned here frankly. KCG is in the top three with a voting record of 1-0 every game this season.
