Just read this transcript She's very clearly awful: The Herald: Two visits in six weeks to one of the country’s most marginal constituencies – is she getting worried? May: I’m very clear that this is a crucial election for this country. TH: Plymouth is feeling the effects of military cuts. Will she guarantee to protect the city from further pain? M: I’m very clear that Plymouth has a proud record of connection with the armed forces. TH: How will your Brexit plan make Plymouth better off? M: I think there is a better future ahead for Plymouth and for the whole of the UK. TH: Will you promise to sort out our transport links? M: I’m very clear that connectivity is hugely important for Plymouth and the south-west generally.

Not sure how big a deal Sturgeon's no show is really, this isn't about the SNP at the end of the day. We can trust them to vote alongside Labour even if they're not in coalition, so if we end up with a Tory minority government we can be certain of preventing the worst of it.
-
True but I think they started on 48 so they have lost support as this has gone along. I dunno, the best we can hope for is that Labour continue doing what they're doing. Cant really fault the campaign.

I've just read the Mail's article on the debate. Obviously it's horrific, but again, the top comments are all hammering the Tories and begrudgingly conceding that Corbyn might well be better for negotiating Brexit. And these comments are getting thousands of recommends. WTF have the Tories done man, this is almost too painful for me to take any joy from it. Almost.

True. Well kinda. I mostly post from my phone in spare minutes when I'm waiting for things. I have quite a few of those as it goes though!

I notice you can't see the list of members anymore. I used to enjoy looking through that to see who wasn't posting anymore and cos I'm generally nosey

Good news then, overall.

How many would he have in total?

Depends on whether or not the chance was to make May looks stupid by not turning up. If that was the whole plan (And I can't think what else he had to gain without her actually being there) then I think this has probably gone ok. I didn't see the thing though. Did it do him any harm?
-
Holy... Actually Andrew, I've changed my mind having seen that. It's horrific. Don't be that.
-
Which newspaper is that ffs... pathetic stuff.

Rather renders the whole thing pointless. I also noticed that if you check your profile, you get an award from the forum for being a particular day's most 'repped' commentator.

Not really anything to do with the GE, but another indictment of Neoliberalism: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2017/may/31/economy-neoliberalism-free-market-economics All parties turning their backs on a failed economic strategy. Even the Tories are at least paying lip service to doing so.

I hadn't actually seen the video of that... wow. That bid to get a laugh at the end as well.. ouch.
-
You have to do it with enthusiasm and conviction though. I'll make sure I tune in for it
-
I'm not actually sure how it works either, but I think it might be as simple as one like on your post = +1 rep.
-
Please do that...!! Just once!

I note that there still hasn't been an announcement about Corbyn not attending Is he leaving it late for dramatic effect?
-
I saw the transcript of that. Painful really.
-
I've been tempted to give it a try myself with rocket league as its quite a watchable game, but I'm just too lazy to set it up I'll try to tune in when i can though.
-
I watch a bit of twitch streaming here and there anyway, so I'll try to drop in. Are you going to make a regular thing of it?
-
It's definitely a cue for the decline of the American world.

Not sure this is going to cut it from May: Q: [From Sky’s Faisal Islam] If you are so strong, and Jeremy Corbyn is so weak, why won’t you debate him tonight? May laughs. She says Corbyn seems keen to be on TV a lot. She says she is more worried about preparing for the Brexit talks. Q: Don’t you think public scrutiny is important? May says she thinks it is. That is why she is taking questions from voters during the campaign. She says she feels sorry for ITV. Corbyn snubbed their debate. She says debates where politicians are squabbling amongst themselves do not do anything for voters.
