  1. It apparently didn't make The World at One, which is what was contended.
  2. Not so sure, the Tories have repositioned and are going for immigration now - politics of fear. I see the Telegraph have run a story about a 'secret' Labour plan to bring in unskilled EU workers. This is the sort of shit that sticks, although I'd be fascinated to know if there's any truth to it.
  3. @Park Life Oh good grief... that's horrific. I mean, we all know that the MSM isn't the problem though. That's been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt by many on here
  4. These BBC presenters, radio show hosts, etc - they will (I imagine) all be earning more than £80k a year. A Corbyn government will hurt them. This is the monumental scale of the challenge Labour faces in getting Corbyn elected. They have to do so despite all platforms for accessing the public on a national level being controlled by people who stand to lose out if he gets elected.
  5. Was he on the same show as Corbyn? Brilliant if so. Also very fair points.
  6. Yeah but look at Pogba for instance. He should fit the Bale/Ronaldo mould that you've set out, but Real Madrid knew to stay clear, and while he's not been a flop exactly, it's hard to imagine him being considered a success either.
  7. It's actually interesting to see that for all Real Madrid have this reputation for spending mental amounts of money - when they do it, it does actually seem to work. Compared to United and City at least.

I enjoy arguing about both things, but you need to give and take for it to be constructive - especially with politics. I've changed my mind on things many times on here following discussion with other people - it is possible, you just need to be a free thinker with an open mind
  9. I originally thought that this thread was something to do with Operating Systems and had been posted in the wrong forum. That said, you've got some years appearing multiple times. So is it the Top 10 Transfer Windows of Any Club in Terms of Money Spent? And is it net spend?

In which case my argument collapses. Well played

Not what I said. FFS Parky. Whether it happens to Muslim girls was not Wolfy's premise. You're trying to send this off down a channel that makes sense to argue about, which I understand because Wolfy's original position is unsustainable - but his original comment indicated that Muslim laws/rules/influence were affecting HIM. Is Wolfy a Muslim girl?

That isn't what we're discussing though - the issue here is that Wolfy feels that he and his family are having rights/liberties taken away by rising levels of Islamification. I'll readily agree that religious courts in this country should be abolished, but they have absolutely no impact on you or I in terms of how we live our lives.

Are these Christian schools? Non-denominational state schools aren't religious anyway, so what difference does it make if they don't have a nativity play? I don't see the power creep of Islam that you're seeing. I could see an argument to suggest that it's blending with feminism on some matters (women covering up, crack downs on sexual freedoms, removing ads about being beach body ready in the London tube, etc) but these are minor details in the overall scheme of things.

The EDL appear to have been set up in response to Muslim gangs on Luton though - I can understand the logic of where they came from. Obviously they've morphed into something entirely different, but if you look back at where they came from, it very much does appear that communities in the area had become segregated and that race relations were very poor. That's not just on the EDL. UKIP are just racist in the old fashioned sense - the EDL come from a direct example of a failure of integration.

So you think that on this specific issue I have stockholm syndrome, but that I'm worse than you on targeting SJWs elsewhere Just on the Christmas point, I've seen literally nothing to suggest it is being eroded by foreign cultures. Plenty to suggest it's being eroded by consumerism though. As for Sharia councils, my understanding is that their judgements don't/can't supercede the law. So again, what difference do they make? Are you likely to be summoned to one? If not, how does it affect you?

Wolfy, the difference is that we live in a Western liberal democracy, while those other countries are backwards theocracies. So another way of looking at this is that Muslims (for instance) aren't allowed to do the same stuff as we would do here in Saudi Arabia either. But they are allowed to do the same stuff as us in the UK. Because we are liberal. We are not being persecuted here. I celebrate Christmas every year, and a couple of years back was invited to share the day with a Hindu family who had a tree, turkey, stuffing and curried potatoes I suspect plenty of non-white/non-ancestrally British families celebrate Christmas. Has anyone actually told you that you can't celebrate Christmas?
  17. It's only cos Parky recommended almost every one of his posts in the sheeple thread because he found it amusing initially. We're now all rueing the monster that he made.
  18. As good news as that is, I wish they'd not revealed it. May will use it to galvanise people to vote for her...
  19. Thanks mate, interesting news. As an aside, assuming the SNP clean up in Scotland, is 35% plus whatever the Lib Dems get enough to prevent a Tory majority when it comes to seats?
  20. If it's both, eventually, they'll choose between them.
  21. So you think there's a further category who can recognise that someone like Corbyn is needed in principle, but are too scared to vote for it because it's new and different. I actually think you might have a point there.
  22. Where's that approval rating bit from?
  23. People voted for Brexit out of desperation as much as small mindedness. For me, the whole thing comes down to this: Are people desperate, angry and wanting change, or are they just small minded racists. If it's the former, eventually we'll win. If the latter then agreed, we're fucked.
  24. @Dr Gloom If they don't this time, 5 more years of the Tories will have them desperate enough to do so. Falling living stands and wealth inequality pretty much guaranteed with the Tories after all.
