The OFFICIAL Transfer Rumours Thread 2018 -2019
Rayvin replied to Anorthernsoul's topic in Newcastle Forum
I probably am, I just recall reading something about the plight of Sunderland, and how their financial mismanagement over 3 years was going to make it very difficult for them to manoeuvre in the championship. I think FFP considers the loss made by the club over a three year period - so I guess it would depend how financially stable Everton have been for the past two years. -
That is horrific.

He can't be enjoying it ffs. Also, he presumably does actually have dementia then? Even if it's mild.

Yeah but if the concern is FFP, don't they essentially have 3 years to sell them? -

If they don't sell them they're going to be a force to be reckoned with. Albeit a financially unstable one. -

Apparently we've bid 40m for Bas Dost, but have been turned down because Sporting want 60m As if. -
Thing is, it won't even be that cordial. He'll just shuffle under the table while someone is midway through a presentation on the budget and start snoring.

The Tories are going to struggle on regardless man. They always fucking do. There is no chance in hell they're going to allow Corbyn a solid chance at winning.

I'm not changing sides at all What side have I changed from and to here? I'm just speculating that from a strategic point of view, such a move may be favourable. I've always been pro EU... As for the MSM ranting, there's a time and a place really. And I think there's been a shift in the discourse anyway - we need to give it some time to develop.

That's potentially a good thing though, isn't it? If they're turning to the Lib Dems, it must be to try and cancel out the hardline Brexiters. If that's the case, then actually, I'd support the Lib Dems being involved in some form. If only to give us a softer Brexit. Hard to see how the Dems could support anything that isn't the Tories turning around and saying they're going to cancel article 50 though, given what they campaigned on.

For what? I thought they had their arrangement in place?

Hope the kid manages to have a reasonably undamaged childhood at least...

This is what we're reduced to talking about in the transfer activity thread ffs -
This man runs our football club...

I'm actually starting to think we should dispense with democracy altogether. It's not a strength, that much is clear.

Having said that, did anyone notice that China has just unilaterally cancelled the treaty we had with them over Hong Kong? That, I would argue, says everything we need to know about our place in the world post-Brexit. It's a travesty and only possible because we've castrated ourselves as far as international influence goes. If we need to rely on Trump and China, we're going to get taken to the cleaners.

Aye but to be fair to CT, he's not saying that it's unfair per se. He's just asking why anyone working in a shop or call centre should care about the public sector workers. I suspect he's right in that. The problem really is that everyone has been so shafted for so long by fucking austerity that no one gives a fuck how much damage any of the recent political developments are doing.

Wasn't Paul Ince captain before all of this? How does that fit into his theory? -
I thought benefit culture was created by Maggie after she failed to put into place any adequate structure for the move away from our natural industries, and subsequently created an underclass?

Who else are they gonna sell now, exactly?
